Pay ALL your debt off by Xmas 2013

Ah ok...I must have entered a comp in the last few years, my email account is just constantly spammed!!
Well in an ideal world by June 2014...probably more likely to be the end of 2014 but I'm dangerously broody so that might put a spanner in the works
Sadly not including mortgage... We have a £270k mortgage on top of this debt :eek::eek::o:o:o Once we are DF then we can spare serious overpayments for the mortgage so this is a way of life for ever really <cheesed off emoticon>
I know how you feel, once the credit card is cleared I would love to start throwing that money at the new mortgage. Making a similar size overpayment monthly would halve the mortgage length0 -
SpagBol, please just keep me in pounds if it's easier. It doesn't matter to anyone except me, and the proportion of debt paid back is the same either way. I'll post in dollars only because I don't have a pound sign on this keyboard!
I got paid today, which should have come straight off this debt, but I underestimated it to start with I think - or some credit card purchases showed up between yesterday and today. So I was hoping to report a grand paid off, but when I deduct my current debt from the $8,000 reported I get a paltry amount:
#119 $435.11/$8,000.00
That said, this is a joint debt (all our finances are joint) and DH is expecting a little lump sum payout this week from when he left his last job. Which was two months ago, but hey ho. Round about a fortnight's pay, we think, and that'll get thrown straight into the credit card. So hopefully I'll have a more impressive figure to relate soon, if his HR have lifted their game.MFW diary here. 1 Feb 2017 $229,371 - MFD Feb 2043  aiming for May 2028
14 August 2017 - Refinanced: $220,000
January 2019 $211,580 Current MFD 31 June 20360 -

What are 99p starts?
I found fleabay today selling some books.
If you put something on with a starting price of 99p it is free 100 times every month. Obviously if you sell you have to pay the fees then but if unsold nothing. I find 99p starts get you more money in hte long run than starting higher, more people watch 99p items and you get a decent bidding war going :Tarmchairexpert wrote: »SpagBol, please just keep me in pounds if it's easier. Thanks armchair! I know what you mean about late income payments, drives me potty. My DH is expecting one too. Even with our level of debt we have never made a late payment, I wish employers were as considerate!! Well done for payment, great startDMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -

I've lost 5lb this week!! Blimey!
Just going to load a few bits on ebay...I have 4 non-working days a week so if I put on 10 items a non-working day I should fit it in this month :T
I also have a bit of hourly-paid freelance work so best get on with that.DMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -

Dunno why, but i'm feeling awfully homesick today... I only left 2 days ago! I think it's time to dig out a sad film, and a box of tissues... Is it just me?
My OH is always really sad and homesick when he comes back from his parents, they live in Scotland so we don't see them very often and it's always a madhouse up there. Even I was almost in tears leaving after Christmas this year! It takes a few days for him to be homesick and then he gets over it a bit and gets used it to just being us again.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

Morning all!
Hubby has finally seen the light, oh yes! He finally gets it, he actually understands that my target to be debt free AND pay off the hol by June is not only possible but virtually certain. I've finally got him on side and to my way of thinking, so pleased!Showed him the figures and after a bit of pensive cog-whirring he said, "We'll be loaded by Christmas at this rate!" Not sure we'll be loaded but at least he realises now how much money is actually spare at the end of the month IF we spend/live wisely - YIPPEE!
