My overall amount may of changed due to using my CC over xmas and forgot :( but that will be it. No more using them. Cash only from now on.

It feels so good to actually see the payments going down like this. I have few more payments to further in the month and can't wait! :p

Well done everyone already making lots of payments and keeping everyone going :D

Well done with the no spending, I have done a weekly shop, a small top up shop and a visit to soft play. Not doing well at all :(

Next week (from Sunday) we are going booze free for a month until Valentines day :T Should save us a small fortune! :rotfl:

Thats a really good idea. Not sure how OH will feel about it. Plus its my birthday soon so will have to forget that weekend. I could just try week days to start with.

    Right...confession time...

We booked our holiday this year (DH got me drunk if you remember ) and I had £700 sitting on an interest paying CC from that and Xmas overspending which I have been chipping away at but not declaring. DH's freelance payment has been delayed so I have transferred the money to a 0% CC :o

I am now adjusting my total to £45k  but it is all 0% and I can start chipping away at the next one which runs out in March.

Ack, oh well. We are still having proper foreign holidays despite our debt. Because we've decided it's not the kids fault we are in debt, and frankly, we work our botties off at very stressful fulltime jobs and decided that if it means we take an extra six months to clear our debts but have a damn good holiday once a year (or twice ;)) then that's something we're prepared to do. We pay for it out of our salaries and aren't putting it on credit, in fact i'm funding our Whit cheapy holiday from Ebay sales. So we're going to tunisia, all inclusive, in the summer. and I refuse to feel bad about it, cause it's gonna be fab.

So chill, don't worry about it and have a great time!

Ah thanks Recurrent :) Your reasons are the same as ours to be honest, we both work a lot and the kids have never been abroad. I know it's not some sort of human right but all their friends have and this year we're camping abroad rather than camping in the UK so still fairly cheap :)
