    Front page all updated :j

I update my spreadsheet every time you post an update (I will thank your post when I've done that) but will update the front page every few days as it takes a bit more time. Hope that's ok?

Let me know if I've made a mistake or an omission...:D

  • Well done every one keeping up the motivation. I keep taking a couple of steps backwards debt wise as some of my New Years Resolutions involve spending! I am still very focussed on paying debts but feel I need to spend a bit more to stop myself becoming demotivated (and totally miserable like end of last year). Also think DD needs more treats to get her thru exam year.

So we have joined the gym. I am determined to make this a big mother/daughter thing so it is time we can spend together. Second visit later tonight.

I also bought a new but cheap car as last one kept breaking down. Fingers crossed this gets us thru the year.

If I stick to rest of the budget we should still be debt free by Easter.

    Keep on fellow BFBX2013 :A

Well done kerri on the win! I tried for a month, but never won a thing!

remembered earlier that I have expenses due in 2 days! A nice £75, and think I can use £50 for debts.

Dunno why, but i'm feeling awfully homesick today... I only left 2 days ago! I think it's time to dig out a sad film, and a box of tissues... Is it just me?

  • One payment for me, clearing the last bit on my interest accruing credit card and making good inroads in to my credit card which is on 0% until December 2013.

One payment of £746, 20% cleared. Now I'm in for the long, slow haul!!

I'm trying to avoid my usual boom and bust cycle of paying loads off and then running the credit card up again. My credit cards have been bouncing between £4k and £2k for the last 5 years. I had some savings from making sure we had more than enough when we moved house recently. In budgeting for the worst I've come out nicely ahead; but I'm still keeping a nice pocket of money in the savings account to deal with anything that comes up.

I did loads of overtime last month and will be getting my old flat deposit back soon so hopefully I'll be able to pay some good chunks out of that sum.

After that, it's beans on toast for roguey!
