Only 24 days left in this challenge  I know I'm not going to get near my target, so I'm trying to decide how much I can afford to pay off this month. I'm going to pay £125 now, and will top that up at Christmas when I see how my finances are looking.
My total is now #141 2300/3250=70.77%
Now I should start thinking about what I can target next year.
you're almost there though
i shall be adding to my savings every month until april,, when i will take out the lump sum and pay off my car :jit just feels more sensible to me to pay off in one go rather than over pay every month.0 -
Right, the spreadsheet is updated and we have managed to pay off a whopping:
£20,387.35 in November :T:T
I am really looking forward to the final push - I'm hoping a lot of the lurkers, or people who haven't updated for a while, will come out of the woodwork in December, our annual total is going to be impressive, and I want to see it as high as we can get it!0 -
It's an exciting time of year for this thread, for sure minicooper!
SpagBol! Congratulations! Come back and give us photographs and details, woman! After all, it's not like having a tiny newborn is time consuming, or anything, don't they just sleep?
<ducking to avoid the tidal wave of nappies thrown in my general direction>
I have had a series of good news events recently; DH just put in a claim for 50 hours of overtime at time and a half, the government benefits people tell me that we overestimated our income last financial year and I'm due a couple of thousand from them, and I'm still waiting on my tax return (our financial year end is 30 June, deadline for filing is 30 October) which should net a couple more thousand...so I'm definitely going to be able to update my signature soon. Just obsessively refreshing my online banking statement at the moment, though!MFW diary here. 1 Feb 2017 $229,371 - MFD Feb 2043  aiming for May 2028

I feel exactly the same - there's definitely too much month left at the end of my money. I have a christmas meal to go to, a few presents to finish, and i'm determined to pay off another £600 before the end of this challenge to leave me at £3500 to pay off in 2014.
Anyway sulk over, because its nearly CHRISSTTMMMASSS! (said in a Noddy Holder type voice) and 2014 is going to be the year of saving to get the stuff i really want

I feel like January is going to be a really long month, it has been for the last two years! I need to work out a decent system for saving for Christmas and emergencies from next year. The way I'm doing it just now is easy to lose track of. And if my spreadsheet ever corrupts, I've had it!
I should finally be getting my salary reviewed this month though, so keeping all my fingers crossed for a pay rise in January.0 -
january will be a really long month cos it always is
that and we have loads of expensive stuff in february!!!
