6 days  fortunately O/H is paid in 4 days so i will have some money in my account (he transfers money over to pay for his half of the bills etc) :T
we need to finish xmas shopping this month and my open uni fees start up too! £800i must think that it was a much cheaper way of getting my degree than going to brick uni, but its still a lot of money.
add to that, O/H's car needs two new tyres and we need to save for O/Hs car MOT and tax in Feb, my tax is feb too but only £20, I also renew my insurance in March and O/H's is April. flippin hell, it's not going to be a good start to the year is it?? at least i'm thinking about it now though, better than coming to february and think oh  lol0 -
You know when they're due, so at least you can start putting money aside now, which will help.
I have an ISA and a savings account, the savings account is dedicated to insurance, birthdays, MOT and car repairs. Because I only started it in April, it didn't have as much as I needed for my car insurance and MOT in August, but it meant I could afford to take just a one month break from my goal, and still afford to enjoy my month! I'm hoping it will get bigger and bigger, so I can afford to buy a newer car or something.0 -
I only buy 12months tax now which is fab, set money aside each month and try not o touch it. Hoping to pay for insurance in full next year, that'll be amazing and save us a few quid too. So much easier than living month to month and worrying when a big bill comes inDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Aw affordmylife stay with us. I didn't make it for 2012 and some long haulers won't make it until 2013. But we still like hearing the updates no matter how small they may be.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

I have no chance of making it either now bar robbing a bank but i don't think I would have achieved what I have without the support of this thread.

Don't go!! I signed up for the 2012 challenge, and by this point I knew I wouldn't make it, but is till kept at the challenge. At the very least it reminded me not to treat it like a week off my diet and go on a spending spree! It's up to you really, but you're not in it alone!0
