:rotfl::rotfl:I just tried it as well and it seemed to take me all around the houses and I never actually got to the nitty gritty.

Then I tried the Good Housekeeping website and it's not there yet, so will try again in February, if I rememeber ;)

It's a shame cos it sounds like it could be a fun read.

Well OH and I are looking at our finances in a completely new way from this month, this is our trial month! Everything is going into the joint account and then from there we have everything budgeted to the extent that we don't need to spend money on anything else. It's really scary and we're going to use the envelope system for awhile to make sure we get ourselves into the habit of budgeting. He's off to get this weeks budget in a little bit and anytime we buy anything the receipt goes in the appropriate envelope. At the end of the week I'm going to write down all the receipts into a spreadsheet then half of what is left goes towards my cc and the other half goes towards our annual spends/savings. Eventually anything leftover will go towards our annual spends/savings. Scary but exciting!

Anyway, I've made some payments towards my cc as I had a refund go back onto it:
    #005 £45.20/£2606.97 1.73%

Finally broken the 1% barrier woohoo.

LOL :D I automatically assume everyone I meet online is the same as me until I find out otherwise! So everyone starts off as a female 28 year old newlywed with a cat and no kids! Hehehe sorry if there are any people of the male persuasion around that may get offended by that... :rotfl:
    ....
Really chuffed with that as it means that I've totally cleared the wedding/honeymoon debts within 3 months :p

:rotfl: I pretty much do the same! :rotfl:

Amazing job on the wedding debts :T

Sounds very exciting Kerri! Let us know how it works...I'm considering trying something similar, withdrawing monthly food/petrol budget but am nervous about carrying lots of cash and/or forgetting to take it out with me when I go food shopping (I can't even remember my carrier bags :o)

:rotfl: Yep I'm out of lurkdom too :) I was spending way too much time reading and posting in the forum and not enough doing anything else so decided to just keep reading but not posting.

I got almost halfway there last year and it did me the world of good to really knuckle down so I'm still carrying on until I finish now. I've just got 2 debts now to pay off which total £2432.21 so that's my new starting total for 2013 if you could add me to the list SpagBol thanks

    So I'm at £0 of £2432.21 today

Good luck to everyone. We ditched a massive amount of debt last year so heres to another good year.
