Jakes mum, I cannot wait until DD goes back to nursery on Tuesday - it's been a constant battle. It's definitely worth the grief I get from her teacher - but I can now report that she is toilet trained as there have been no accidents today! woohoo!!!!

I enjoy reading how you can't wait to get them back to school. :D I teach 7-8 year olds, and actually enjoy going back to school. Mostly so that I can get back into my own routine! It'll be a busy 6 weeks though as I have so much to do, then my maternity leave starts.

  • Can I join (again) please. Last year with the help of this thread I managed to get rid of 3 really expensive cc's and transfer the rest to a 0% barclaycard. After years of only being able to get bad credit expensive credit cards with the help of this thread I managed to repair my rating enough to get 0%
I reckon I owe £2000 ish but am awaiting the dreaded bills to get a proper total *shudder*

  • I think I jinxed it! Today, the dentist found a cavity, which means I'll be £83 for a filling  and also have to pay for the train to come get it done (£30-80). It's unlikely I'll be debt free in February :(

I'm not too sad about it though, by taking an extra month, I can get an emergency fund together, so I won't need to use credit cards if an emergency comes up. I'll look at it as a small (expensive) blessing in disguise then?

Got £25 from cashback today so new debt total is:
    #17 3066/3486=87.95%

    £420 to go!!!

Well done on all the good debt busting work going on out there!

Really could do with some inspiration from the people that have managed to pay large amounts off. I have managed to pay somemoney off already this month. Ihave raided my money jar which totalled to £19 which I have paid off my credit card. Ihave a few old mobiles and bits that I cansell on ebay and other websites. I have a second job additional to my full time job, I have the oppurtunity to do over time at the moment which I am planning to do.
Places where I could improve: I can do a few more hours at the second job.
I would like some ideas on things I can do on an evening to make some cash (without getting exhausted recently been diagnosed with a benign brain tumor and have also got to have an op for a different problem which will mean 6 weeks out of action)
I can sew and would say I'm quite arty but whenyou look on ebay there seems to be pages and pages of stuff that doesn't seem to sell.

Help so determinedthat this year is going to be a good one and get debt free!!! Ideas needed

    Thanks guys

Yay woohoo :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j Well done DD! :T:T:T:T

Jakes-mum mine are the same. I got off my sickbed at about 5 to walk them as they were pinging off the walls!! Especially my eldest, he is like a really bouncy labrador that hasn't been walked for a week if he doesn't get a run every day!

Floella my DS is in your classes age group and I don't know how you do it :D:rotfl::rotfl:

sarahckitten I'm off to bed now but will think of some good ideas. I have updated the spreadsheets everyone and will post them on the front page at some point tomorrow. Fingers crossed I get better overnight!

Well here goes, I've made my first payment off my debt in 2013

    # 070 £ 150/ £1450 (10.3%)

Also tried to have a NSD but couldn't manage it, I made banana bread for the first time with the over ripe bananas in the fruit bowl. Very tasty if I do say so myself. Although wasn't too happy paying £1.69 for a bag of caster sugar.
Ongoing good luck to everybody on your debt free journey's. Love reading this thread it keeps me so motivated.
