Well done for not buying anything :T:T
How many meals do you have in the house do you reckon?DMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -
Still feeling v poorly today
Also v tense as DH gets paid on 6th but rather than pay him today like normal companies we have to bite our nails until 7th which is the day our mortgage comes out
This happened last year and I cancelled the DD (on advice from mortgage company) and we could see his wages to shuffle around from the saturday so fingers crossed that happens this time!!DMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -

We're about as bad, food budget wise. Everything is so much more expensive than it used to be a year or two ago. I used to spend £60 a week, now it's £80-100 and that's not being frivolous. I really need to find some cheap recipes. Unfortunately the kids are quite fussy and really don't like veggie stuff, so we buy a lot of meat which is extortionate these days.Long haul supporter #290POAYDBX2014 #043LBM Dec 2011 Debt £51K Debt Nov 2014 £42K0 -

Morning all,
Can I join please. I think paying 8.5k is more realistic thats why I joined the "Pay as much as you can" challenge this year.
BUT I feel if I join this challenge it might help me push further and manage to somehow pay off more than what my budget says I can.
So I am going for the full whammy.
£864paid / 17,207k
Thanks all

I'm skint tooThink the boy gets paid on the 21st, we at least have money for food and things but my money is gone which makes me feel like we have none as I see it that way so I don't spend from the joint account.
Sure car tax is due this month too, haven't had letter yet thoughHSBC CC - £3000 / £3000

We get paid on the 18th and I'm impressed my bank account is still looking healthy with 2 weeks to go. It helped that by the time we'd been paid on 21st Dec, we'd bought most of our xmas supplies so this has felt like a normal month rather than the xmas month. Hoping to make another CC payment just before I next get paid with the money leftover... money leftover at the end of a month, never had that before :rotfl:
affordmylife - hope your dog is ok and the vet's bill isn't too steep x0 -
I can't believe that it's only the 4th either - it seems like absolutely ages since my last pay day with all the fun stuff happening after that - January is always horrible to wait for payday though - three weeks to go for me!
Well I've made the effort and got up this morning so I can get the jobs I missed yesterday sorted out but I'm still sitting around waiting for the dryer to finish so that I've got some clothes to wear! :rotfl:Really need to start being more organised - I'm working tonight and tomorrow night and then back on days for the next few months though and am soooooo looking forward to having a routine!0 -
Thanks SpagBol
