Minicooper - spark plugs are easy to change, have you had a look at yours to see if they look knackered? I seem to recall their not massively expensive to replace from when I had to do them a few years back.
Sorry to hear about the OH's grandad! Hope the rest of the family are ok. I actually had a new set of spark plugs fitted about 3 months ago, so if it's spark plugs I will be really miffed! I found a mobile mechanic who will come out tomorrow. He said it'll be £30 for call out, and he should be able to get it going within the hour. I will have to leave work early, but I have done so much over time lately they can't hold it against me!
eddi will keep my fingers crossed for your results!0 -

My signature and the spreadsheet say we have paid off £2110 which we had done but then had our holiday (French air traffic fiasco) and some other spends and are now at -£1500!! So we have to catch up by £3610 to be where we were a few months ago :eek:DMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -
I will probably regret it when we are eating beans on toast by the end of the month but I posted off a cheque to clear the remainder of my debt.
So:
£6381.81/6381.81 = 100%
The debt was the loan part of a Northern Rock together morgage so still have the larger morgage part to pay off. I plan to spend the summer holidays deciding on a plan of attack for overpaying this.
Good luck in the challenge everyone. No more buying toiletries0 -

Cheers miniEddie, I know lots going on and only 3 weeks until we move to Bristol eep! Best wishes with the results in September, I've never studied psychology but I reckon it would interest me as I love analysing people
[..] I spent £150 on 4 dresses (I know this sounds like a lot but I haven't bought anything in years), they're all maxi dresses that will stretch with my bump so I can wear them until the endI then spent £40 on petrol and £50 on snacks & food plus £20 on a pub meal. I did have a thoroughly good time and the bride enjoyed herself. We'd already all paid for the cottage we stayed in months beforehand, so was a really lovely cheap weekend holiday.
The whole subject is utterly fascinating. More so than I expected to be honest. I find myself unintentionally psycho-analysing everything now.
Glad you enjoyed the hen weekend and it doesn't hurt to treat yourself once in a while.0 -
Well done Moneyless Mac!!
