Having one of those phases where it never rains but pours! This morning my car wouldn't start, and googling the problem says it is either the fuel pump of the spark plugs. I had thought it was the battery at first... I have booked the car in for its MOT on Wednesday, but I will need to get a mobile mechanic out before then and/or delay the MOT. It's frustrating, as it's MOT season, car insurance season and I will also have general car repairs too! On top of having just spent all my spare cash on the holiday flights...

Something tells me I'll be joining BedsitBob on baked beans for the rest of the month! I could do with the calorie savings anyway...

I'm just sharing this link for anyone that might be interested:
    http://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/fair-fares-now

It's a petition asking for fairer rail fares, for those who take the train every now and again!

On a side note, I just applied for a new emergency credit card (I might need it soon!) Was shocked that the whole thing was approved in about 30s, and suddenly I have a rather huge limit (to me anyway)

Eddie, I know lots going on and only 3 weeks until we move to Bristol eep! Best wishes with the results in September, I've never studied psychology but I reckon it would interest me as I love analysing people :)

Minicooper - spark plugs are easy to change, have you had a look at yours to see if they look knackered? I seem to recall their not massively expensive to replace from when I had to do them a few years back.

Confession time, completely forgot that going to the hen weekend was going to cost me money (oops!). So my £500 I was saving towards my CC for the 20th has dwindled whoops. I spent £150 on 4 dresses (I know this sounds like a lot but I haven't bought anything in years), they're all maxi dresses that will stretch with my bump so I can wear them until the end :) I then spent £40 on petrol and £50 on snacks & food plus £20 on a pub meal. I did have a thoroughly good time and the bride enjoyed herself. We'd already all paid for the cottage we stayed in months beforehand, so was a really lovely cheap weekend holiday.

We've got more expense coming this weekend as have to go to see my parents and then across to Gosport for OH's granddads funeral, he didn't know him especially well but we still need to pay our respects. I've still got half a tank of fuel but expecting to pay another £50 for liquid gold. I have a black maxi dress I bought for the hen weekend that I can wear to the funeral at least :)
