The idea that I won't be paying anything toward my debts, from August's pay, is incredibly tempting.
Someone please reassure me, that skinting myself by paying it now, is not a good idea.
I've had the same predicament last month and especially this month because I have my holiday budget sitting in the bank. I decided not to push it too much because after five long years, two more months is irrelevant really and I know it will be gone and I will have some savings in just 3 weeks from now.
So I would say relax and eat well (and icecreams ) not just beans.0 -
Hi all
I've not popped in for a while but I'm still here plugging away:). I'm going to be on beans & toast next month as I'm planning on clearing the debt at the end of July. I hoped to be debt free with last year's challenge as I started with over £6000 debt.

Confession time... I've been naughty today! I don't have table and chairs for my garden and I went to home base and see a lovely one for £130. BUT I didn't buy that one, I went to Tesco and got a bistro set (table and 2 chairs) in the sale for £30! Okay I know I still spent £30 but are you all going to lynch me or let me off the hook this time?

We have booked our holiday! Off to Lisbon for 7 nights in September for my birthday. We're getting the hotel for free using the OH's reward points, and then it was £200 each for flights  to be fair, that's not so bad, as a package deal would have been nearer £400pp!
Time to start saving for some holiday spends! :j0 -
Also time to start the pre-holiday diet... Tomorrow :rotfl:0
