*sigh of relief* after mentioning car insurance, I got so nervous, I felt really sick. Decided the only way to put an end to it would be to do a comparison.I was worried it would jump up to £1000 (they said my age range would go up 20%). It has actually gone down to £580! I also thought I would try using my other job title, and that knocked it down to £500! I wish I had used my other job title last year (as it's more applicable to what I do anyway)...

I can sleep a little easier tonight.

Well done everyone, keep it up :T:T:T:T

That's great! We're all moving in the right direction :T

What's the etiquette regarding stalking people on the forum? :rotfl: I've seen a few subscribers of Paydobx13 out there who have paid more off their total but not updated it on this thread. Can I go and give them a virtual poke?

What's next for you now you're debt free?

Thanks for all the congratulations everybody. All your comments are very much appreciated.

His missus - I'm just keeping my head down and maintaining the momentum to overpay my mortgage. I daren't give myself a break as I'm afraid I'll get on the slippy-spendy-slope so I'm still following a frugal-ish lifestyle and still following this thread and surfing the boards for motivation and inspiration.

    How's your deposit coming along?

    Hello everyone

My direct debit for the secured loan has come out today so have reduced my debt by £325:) The DD that is supposed to include the bit I owe EDF has come out but has gone down by £48 so I havent got a clue what has happened there as I am sure even if I had been reassessed I shouldnt have dropped down by this much. I will ring them as it was c**k ups with my DD that got me behind in the first place. I will ring them tomorrow night and see what is going on.

Things are really tight this month with a family wedding and all the associated costs so I am struggling to pay off anything else until DH gets his bonus at the end of June and most of that is allocated for our holiday spends.

I've managed to comfortably put £300 into my ISA and Hubby's £100. He's also put £100 aside to use to over the mortgage in a few months when he's saved enough. He's quite focussed on saving up though for our hol in September so saving may be slow until October.

I know what you mean about a slippery slope, that's why I want to start saving for the house before we go on holiday.
