I've been a bit lethargic on the old eb@y front, but I still have a big box full of things to sell. I wonder when the next free listing weekend will be...

Did a money shuffle and managed to make a payment to the window loan. That now brings my total to

    £3,300.44/£14,174 or 23% :j

Hubby gets paid mid month and is planning to make an overpayment to his c/c so that will add to our total too. June is going to be a good month for us I think :T

My OH is on secondment with work atm, and he isn't allowed to check his phone during the day. It's frustrating, as I would like some advice!

I've found a job advertised with a really respectable company, in the city I want to move to. Unfortunately, my former housemate, who made life hell for us for 3 months (at which point two of us moved out to get away from it all), works in the same offices, and I don't know whether I should let that put me off applying?

No, but when we were living together, they kept inviting my friends out, and telling them not to invite me. I'm worried they'd do that with my colleagues if there was ever a work night out.

OHs are so annoying!!! He put the new bed up when I said not to til the end of the month cos we need a new mattress for it so what did he do, he put it up last night. So I've had to dip into my savings to buy a mattress because I'm not sure if there's enough money in the current account! Gaaah.

You should definitely apply for the job or you're letting the "bully" win by controlling your life choices. If s/he behaves like that at work towards you, people will see him/her for the person they really are. Besides, how do you know they're well respected at work? Perhaps colleagues know what they're like and don't invite them out on work dos :D

minicooper - Here's a story, so please bear with me.When I was about 9 years old the new school year started and some kids from another school joined my school. One day a group of girls gathered round me and told me that there was a new girl in school, and that as they didn't like her I wasn't to be her friend. I looked around, saw the new girl, gave her a big smile and a wave, and then waited for her to go into assembly. We've been best friends ever since, and we're now approaching our 50's. I'm proud that at 9 years old I knew when to take a stand for the right reasons.

My point in all of this is, is that you're making your life choices on school ground stuff.

If you want to apply for a job at a new place because it's something you want to do, then go for it, don't let the bullies make your decisions for you.

If your 'friends' didn't invite you to places because they were told not to, then they're not friends.

And give your new work colleagues the chance to make their own decisions, before being fearful that they'll snub you.

I hope you make the choice that suits you best.

On another subject - his missus you've changed your picture  It totally confused me :rotfl:
