What a weekend! Friends had a house warming on Friday night, but there was a silly little argument between my friend and her fiance, which quickly escalated to a hurtful confessions time. I had arranged to sleep over on their couch, so everyone left, and i had to smooth things out. I managed to get things down from "it's over" to grumpy but normal exchanges.
Our other friend had a house warming last night, and after the newly re-kindled fiance's left, we were discussing things through, and next thing I know, I'm in tears over the whole thing, and because I've been feeling blue about life for a while, the tears didn't stop! It was my oldest friends do, and she was fine to talk things through, but I felt so awful for her new boyfriend of 1 month, who had to put up with all this on the very first time he met us... This is what happens when you mix the blues with alcohol!0 -

Forgot the whole point behind my big moan was that as a result of being in such a state lately, I'm thinking of reducing the amount I pay off each month a little bit so that I can afford a few more trips home or to visit friends. I want to reduce it by £100 a month, just until I move back. I have to do what I know a lot of people have had to do before - take a little time to focus on my happiness, instead of where my next payment is coming from!0

yes we are not worrying too much about money next month, we are going to do something and get out of the house! we have been miserable beause we are always cooped up.0

Hi everybody,
Minicooper, I'm sorry to hear that you're having a blue time at the moment, stress and alcohol definitely don't mix. I hope you feel a bit more positive soon, and I totally agree with paying off a little less for a while, at least until you get your mojo back.
On a happy note, I've just got my wage slip, the money won't actually be in the bank for a couple of days but that's not going to stop me running around like a very happy giddy kipper. The last remaining amount I have to pay to Bank of Mum and Dad is 666.67, my wage cheque will allow me to transfer 600.00, if I can cut my intended grocery/petrol bill for the next two weeks I might, just might be able to have the debt gone before the 1st June.
Right, I'm am off to put on my woolly gloves and go delving in the deep freeze to do a menu plan to last me until my next pay cheque (due 7th June )0 -
my insurance payment should've come out on saturday but it hasn't by the looks of it. :S will wait for my internet banking to catch up today and if it doesn't appear then i'll ring them and make sure it's paid...0

Well car insurance is due next month and I'm going to have to do the ring around, eugh! Looks like I can get it about £200 cheaper by switching, but that also means the upfront fee to start with. It's a shame as I like my car insurance company. I'll give them a call to see what they can do, but I very much doubt they can beat the quote I've been given. is there any logical reason why a DD wouldnt come out??? im confused! my car nsurance is supposed to go out on the 18th of every month but it hasnt gone otu this month0

May just be the 18th was a Saturday and its got delayed; won't go out on a weekend date. I'd leave it til tomorrow afternoon and if its still not gone out i'd ring your insurance company; they can normally tell you if its been processed. Have you had them go out to this company before?Current Mortgage 01.10.17 £113,513.88
