Unfortunately the OH will not live with out Sky Sports! does my head in :mad:minicooper272 wrote: »You should look for a better deal elsewhere, tell V what the better deal is, and they will usually try to match it. Threatening to leave is always a good way to get money off.
I really would also recommend the power down - it was a must-have in house shares, as there is always someone that doesn't believe in turning the TV off properly  They're about £20 direct, but if you can get it for less, then it will pay for itself after a year or two.
Yeah thats what I was thinking see what the best deals are else where and tell them thats what I want or I am leaving!
I'm watching a few plugs on Fleebay for about £5 so hopefully I will get one of them.

I have a Lime energy saving plug (got it free a few years ago via MSE link) sounds similar to the power down that I use on the tv in the bedroom but I think you can use them on anything that goes into standby mode and has a remote.
Payday tomorrow, can't wait to start saving for the first month ever

Been a bit quiet the last few weeks, nothing to report really. Had a cheapy weekend in Germany just gone. Accommodation and most of my food was free so can't complain and needed a break
Small payment this month only. Got my MOT next week so saving as much cash as poss because no doubt the car will fail. MIRACLE if it doesn't

fenmad I think it's anything that goes on standby... I think you can get different ones for computers as well, but I'm not so sure. I'll keep my fingers crossed!
hismissus I got a lime one as well (if it's free, I'm always there :rotfl:) I didn't like it so much, as it didn't have a peripheral socket... Can't complain at a freebie though!
starnac it took me a minute to understand what you meant there! :rotfl:0 -
