  • Just popping in with an update.

I emailed my bank manager today asking if I can change the debt that we are currently working on clearing, to weekly payments rather than fortnightly, he emailed back that it should be fine and has assigned it to one of his team.
I seriously love my bank, they are always willing to help in any way they can, they know us by our first names and will always stop for a chat if we see any of the staff while we are out, it's a rare thing these days:T
Anyway the upshot of this is that it will be easier to budget weekly with the same amount going out, I can add money to it every week rather than the inbetween weeks and of course it will be finished sooner!
    Gotta love that!:T:T
Trying to be debt free by the end of 2016 :j

woke up with a really bad ear infection! fortunately it's in my deaf ear so it isn't affecting my hearing ,it just hurts.

spent all day in another city for work so i have earned 4 hours of TOIL to use, which i will take next week so I can begin my few days off early!!!

    Evening

    a few more ebayers have paid so I have paid another payment. Total now #11 - £6851.05 / £10,224 = 67.01% :j

There are 2 more buyers to pay and if they do, it will mean that another debt will be fully paid off by the end of this month rather than the end of June :D:D:D

I re-listed a few items last weekend too so hopefully some will sell and I can start on the next highest interest debt before the normal monthly payments go out.

I didn't realise that leaving things plugged in uses power even if they are not connected to anything!! I will unplug all my chargers.

My tele doesn't have an off  switch, its either on or on standby. I will have to get up and unplug it

Hope everyone is keeping well :D

Don't I know it. This month I have MOTd, insured and bought a residents parking permit for my car. The tax is due at the end of this month too, but I can't buy it on-line until 2 days after the renewal date as I changed insurance companies  I don't like owning a car in May :D I think I will buy 6 months tax this time so it is due again in November, and then buy a year to avoid having to get it again in May next year!

Well done on the EBay sales! Have you heard of the Eon Powerdown? I got one free at a freshers fair, when your tv is put on standby, after 20s it will turn it off at the wall. When you want to turn it on again, you press the standby button on the remote, and it will turn everything on again. Fabulous little thing, because you can also plug your sky box in the side, and it turns that off too! Just found them for about £5 inc P&P on eBay, and recommend them for that price!

Big hello to Cannucksfan - I'm glad to hear the little one is doing well. I was thinking to myself he must be about 3 months old now, then I realised it's actually MAY now  Where has the year gone?

Another big hello to Jemma - it's good to hear from you! Glad to hear you've been enjoying yourself for a while - you definitely deserve it! Hope you had a lovely last day, and have a great time ahead in the family business!
