amr glad you got paid in full!

Newlywed Congratulations on all the wedding clearing - I'm glad it's been going so well! And it's fantastic you've paid off so many of your debts! I would have paid off the little ones too... I'm sure it reflects better on your credit to have one bigger debt, than to have 5 smaller debts! I didn't think there was a way to privately post to the selling pages... My other idea was to set up a selling profile, and just add myself as my only friend :rotfl: That might look at tad suspicious though. Still, if I get no sales, I'll just cancel the spare account.

AMR - Well done on getting paid in full, good times :T:j

MiniCooper - Thanks, SO glad to start shifting all the wedding stuff you can't imagine! I think I am more happy about seeing the back of it all than getting what we paid for it all :rotfl: I am considering setting myself up with a fb selling profile and adding myself and hubby to it as friends. That way I won't spam my friends' newsfeeds, and also as I am selling some of my clothes from when I was at my biggest, they won't see how big I was, may sound weird, but I don't want friends knowing my dress size!

Right, I have a huge amount to report! You may have noticed that I've been a bit slack on here :o well, I've been going to bed early and drained of energy because I'm expecting again :) I am only 10 weeks, scan after the BH next week so not "official" yet but I thought I would come clean with you lovely lot to explain my lack of commenting on here :)

We are possibly mad given our debt but...the other good news is DH has got a new job with more money so that will cover my loss of salary on Mat leave and we can still pay off the debts about £1k per month. :j:j:j

So I am very sorry about being a bit crap on here! I have kept up with the spreadsheet so that's ready to upload but I feel so sick that I can't stay on the computer for long to chat it makes me feel queasy!

Have a lovely weekend all, lots of :money: fun :T

Congratulations Spagbol!!! :j:T:beer:Great news, so exciting! Is this baby number two? When is your baby due?

spent 2 flippin hours in specsavers!!!!!! but i now have some contact lenses and im picking up my glasses and sunglasses next sunday. came to £112 in total eek but i had a voucher which knocked off £65 and my contact lens person gave me £8 off the box of contacts soo thats it for this year as i dont wear contacts often, in fact i still have some from my box last year haha

Well done on the :money:, good job! Can I be nosy and ask where/how you got the voucher? I could do with some new glasses as mine are quite shabby looking now, but as I am now a :money:geek I resent spending lots of money so am making do! But if I could get prescription glasses AND sunglasses for a bargainous price like you have then I might go and take look!

Hismissus - WELL DONE, so happy for you, it must feel great to be debt free, :j for the surprise £800 bonus you found lurking in your account! I can't believe they thought noone would notice that amount of money appearing in their account!!!

MiniCooper - It is so weird now I know you live in the same area as me, as sometimes you mention things, like in this case the groupon dog track offer, and I know what you are talking about having seen it myself:rotfl:

Wow I have my Mum here for 3 days and come back to some fantastic news.

Congratulations newlywed on closing all those accounts.
Congratulations his missus on being debt free, you must be sooooo chuffed. Can you call them about the trailing interest?

and a MAHOOSIVE congratulations to Spagbol on the bubba and to Mr Spagbol on the job :D:D:D

and as if that's not enough it's sunny here in Cardiff too :)

For those of you that asked, I'm not 100% sure how to do the google+ thing, so I've put a google+ button on my website in one of the sidebars. It appears, from blogs I've read, that the more +1's you get the higher in a search you come. So if you'd like to +1 the website, search for Fabridashery :) thank you very much in advance xxx

I'm getting on the free listing action this weekend, going to go through and see if I can use my phone to list the full 100 items, would be fantastic to see a whole load of boxes go again. My recent purchases of tshirts from ebay have been fab, but my spending is over now and it's time to really knuckle down to get rid of this debt or I'll never own a house!

I have just done the google+ thing for you hun xx Good luck with the ebay listing, let us know how you get on xx

Spagbol - great news on the foreign students, that is an amazing boost to your debt busting fund :T

Well, I spent last night working out our figures and updating our debt spreadsheet, and now have an update ready. We are over the moon this month, as in the space of around 5 weeks we have gone from only having paid off 8% of our debt to a whopping 22% of our debt! :T:j:beer: We are chuffed to bits about this, it actually feels achievable finally! I went back to the snowball calculator to put in our new figures, and we have gone from a DFD of June 2014 to March 2014, so we have shaved off 3 months, and now have less than a year until we are debt free. It feels SO good!!! I want to thank everyone on this debt free diary as it really does spur us on to be really tight with money (despite our forthcoming spendy May :(), you have all helped us out SO much. And although we have a spendy month ahead, the positive is that we are now paying cash for everything we have to buy, nothing will be on credit cards, so there is a silver lining to the spending we are facing :T

Update from me (We are now in 4 figures, woohoo!!!):

Well work gives out eye test vouchers, but if they are for VDU use then you get £45 towards them, if they're the premium range you get a further £20 off on top of that, plus the glasses are 2 for 1, and I got a discount on my contacts but not sure why :rotfl:it also paid for my eye test and the contacts consultation was free.

I know, I've noticed this in a few threads where people mention going places and you've also been there that day... It's weird sometimes!

Also I know exactly what you mean about selling clothes etc on Feb - I'm sure people can guess my dress size, but I don't want to go shouting about it!

BTW, was it you that said you were off to harry potter world? I meant to say I was there last year and it was a really interesting trip! Take a camera with you though, and maybe a second mortgage for the gift shop
