Wow kerri who needs friends like that!?! What a b*hole! You're OH needs a slap on the wrists too - especially if you did nothing to deserve her mean-ness. He should have been having a to at her, not you! Have some :grouphug:

Thanks guys, have cheered up now. Spoke to the OH and told him that it wasn't the best of times to tell me the things I do wrong, but I know he only has my best interests at heart. Oh and that girl can go jump, I think if you have to try too hard then it's not really worth the time and effort. For example, I could try my hardest to be an astronaut, but I wear contact lenses so I'm never going to be one. Or something like that, I think what I am trying to say is my energy is better spent elsewhere :)

We're off out in the sunshine for some chips and cider by the bay :) not very MSE but we'll enjoy it anyway.

MSE though, I won 2 tops (the ones that look good on me and actually fit my frame) for £7.50 including postage, wooohooo :)

how can i have so much food in the cupboards but theres nothing i want to eat?!?!
  • Triple choc chip great post like you I've ignored PPI and I don't think i've paid it but now I'm wondering. But where do you start I looked at the thread on here and it seemed such an uphill task especially when you're trying to work all Gods hours to clear debts. What did you do? Still waiting for FB mods to let me sell stuff 4 days now. x

Aaah, well here's the thing - they contacted me. I got a letter from Canada Square Operations (formerly Egg) saying I'd definitely paid it and I may have been mis sold and so to fill in their complaint form. I'd never heard of them so searched the PPI threads on MSE and decided they were bono fide so sent it off. It was from a loan in 2003.

When all this PPI stuff came up about 3-4 yrs ago I phoned Egg to enquire and was told to bog off cos they didn't owe me anything so I shredded all my paperwork and accepted I wouldn't be part of this mega payback of billions of ££££'s to all and sundry - so well chuffed now that I will get something! Good luck with yours - just contact everyone you ever had a loan with and see what they say.

    I need to have a moan :(
She apparently doesn't even like the sound of my voice, denoted by the fact she motioned that she wanted to strangle me at one point to get me to shut up. I wasn't even talking to her at that point, I was talking to some other people and having a nice time.
So now I'm back to feeling completely deflated

I hope you feel better by the time you read this while burping up the cider bubbles, Kerri!

I always think that when people (usually women) feel the need to put you down like that in front of others it's usually because they are envious of you some reason. Perhaps you are more attractive, more successful, thinner (!) or funnier or more popular than her.

So take comfort from the fact that she is in awe of you for some reason and don't stop what you are doing - if it makes another woman jealous it must be a good attribute not a bad one.

    Evening

Only one of my items sold on ebay today :( It has been paid for though so I have just made a payment.

    Total now #11 - £5797.45 / £10,224 = 56.70% :j

Another 4 items are ending tomorrow, so hopefully I will be able to make another payment.

    So so close!!!!

My pay is sitting there staring at me online but there's currently a big difference between my available money and cleared money so not actually sure which one i need to look at,
I paid the pet insurance cheque in on Wednesday and although I can see it on my account I'm wondering if its not been cleared yet?

I think I will wait until Tuesday and give my account a few more days to settle down before knowing exactly how much I have.

I also applied for a balance transfer last weekend and Barclaycard have processed it twice! So rather than £1000 on the new card I now have £2000 and will be £1000 in credit on the old card... So frustrating!!!
