Pay ALL your debt off by Xmas 2013

I've been trying to work out if the council tax goes out this month? I'm sure it's done over 10 months isn't it? The first 2012/2013 payment was April so that would make Januarys the last until the next cycle.
And I'm sure my car insurance is 10 months too which is due again at the end of March so I need to fish out the paperwork with the installments on? If this is indeed the case then I can pay off a bit more debt with the "saved" cash....But it's MOT day tomorrow which makes me a bit nervous so I'll wait and see what work the car might (or might not - let's stay positive) need. I've saved a couple of hundred quid in my little budgeting account so that will help and if not required it can go to debt-busting
:rotfl: genuine LOL-ing going on here. I do hope your fingers are intact and that you didn't, infact, die due to this. That would be terrible.
Hello fellow OU student! :j
I think it's due from 1st March?? Could be wrong though! Lol. I'm expecting my bill aaany day now
Just had the water and gas bills  I still don't understand water bills.0 -

 Hello fellow OU bod. What are you studying? (if you've written it somewhere and I've missed it I apologise) I noticed earlier on you said you would graduate in 18months is it? How exciting ... I feel like I've got years of study ahead now but I'm excited to be learning something new and that I've been interested in for a long time. I'm hoping for a BSc in Psychology in the end.
I think council tax runs from the start of the tax year doesn't it? I'm sure my first payment of this bill was April last year.
I must confess I'm not really very confident of my understanding of particularly the gas and electric bills. It's a rented house and the gas and leccy are on pre-payment meters but then I'm slightly confused when a bill comes that says we're in credit, because it seems it's not like really being in credit at all? I should really understand how it all works at my age

Ooh patience has prevailed!!! Just nabbed two tickets on the cinema thread for Paperboy tomorrow
absolutely loving going to the cinema for free at the moment
and I REALLY want to see that one. I still can't believe you can go for free when it normally costs £6-£8!
Kerri, how do you get free tickets. I love cinema but haven't been for ages cos of the cost. I can't justify the cost when I got debt to clear. :mad:2017 ChallengesDFBX17 #14 £70.14/£21,321Xmas 2017 #37 £0/£352

D'ya know, they weren't as awful as I was expecting. It was bad, but not interminably so. And the kids laughed like drains.

Hi everybody!
I also haven't looked at the thread for a while, it moves so fast.
I just managed to get two credit cards with a 0% balance transfer deal for 17 and 21 months. This means that I can shift all of my credit card debt to 0% and that I will only pay interest or a fee on £1800 of my debt.
I've increased my debt by about £250 as a result of the transfer fees but I'll save a lot more in the long term.
My total now is 725/10263 paid off (no. 35).Targets: [STRIKE]OD1 300[/STRIKE] OD2 1500 CC1 4950 CC2 1495 (Loan: 10,000 0%)
Totals: £17945 [STRIKE]£24850[/STRIKE] (£6905/27,78% paid off)0
