:rotfl: See I'm not too fussy on colour, but it had this nasty fine snakeskin appearance to it, which just didn't float my boat. I'm paying the extra for a metal-like finish.
I've listed 10 items on fleabay tonight - here's hoping for a few sales (even if they're all only 99p starts!). I'm really looking forward to my pay day next week! Excited for everyone getting so close to the goalposts!0 -
I've found 4 things I'd be happy to flog! An unused, unopened epilator, RRP £100 on Boots, an unused straightener, RRP £80 on Boots and a couple of pairs of shoes, one tried one and the other new with tags.
Should be able to net myself a bit of money!0 -
I'm guilty of paying extra to get a colour I liked it's soo bad! Glad I'm not the only one buying a laptop though! Next month reckon I'm going to be too I'll to spend so I WILL redeem myself!0

I think it is normal, why have a silver laptop when you could have pink (or another colour!!)
on my list of things to buy in Jan 2014 is a Macbook Air. This is because it has an apple on the lid. Shallow?? Moi?? errrr, yep, guilty as charged

Strange to think that in 18 months I will be an OU graduate and I will hopefully have a 10% mortgage deposit. 18 months doesn't seem that far away!
No doubt when I've finished this DFBX 2013 I'll be back again to pay off the balance of my car, quite a lot remaining!
18 months is no time at all! Well done :j:j32b3in2013 wrote: »Evening
I decided to pay my £40 lottery win off of my credit card. I spent a lot more than that on the bag and purse earlier this month, so couldn't really justify spending the £40 too
New total -
#11 - £2647.11/£10,224 = 25.89%
Have re-listed a few things which have not sold twice on ebay, so if they don't sell this time, I may do a boot sale
Have a good week everyone

Oops sorry about that
What an amazing week this will be for you! Enjoy it and come and tell us as soon as the horrid debt is gone :T:TTalking of temptations...I've just signed myself up for a 59+ mile bike ride from Reading to Stonehenge in April! I have to raise £150....I don't yet own a bike, I haven't ridden a bike in about 12-14 years...oh and I don't do very much exercise hahahahahaha this will be a laugh!
:rotfl: Good luck!
Well done to armchairexpert too...I thought I had multiquoted you but it's vanished...an exciting time for you when you kick the debt into touch too!DMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -
 Hello fellow OU bod. What are you studying? (if you've written it somewhere and I've missed it I apologise) I noticed earlier on you said you would graduate in 18months is it? How exciting ... I feel like I've got years of study ahead now but I'm excited to be learning something new and that I've been interested in for a long time. I'm hoping for a BSc in Psychology in the end.
I think council tax runs from the start of the tax year doesn't it? I'm sure my first payment of this bill was April last year.
I must confess I'm not really very confident of my understanding of particularly the gas and electric bills. It's a rented house and the gas and leccy are on pre-payment meters but then I'm slightly confused when a bill comes that says we're in credit, because it seems it's not like really being in credit at all? I should really understand how it all works at my age
Ours is 10 months and we don't pay Feb or March then back to paying on April 1st. I think our council do it for 12 months with a lower payment but I love these 2 months off
EUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH had alot of set backs this week so my new total is now...£2326.18 / £7354.26
Never mind, still a really good percentage :T:THi everybody!
I also haven't looked at the thread for a while, it moves so fast.
I just managed to get two credit cards with a 0% balance transfer deal for 17 and 21 months. This means that I can shift all of my credit card debt to 0% and that I will only pay interest or a fee on £1800 of my debt.
I've increased my debt by about £250 as a result of the transfer fees but I'll save a lot more in the long term.
My total now is 725/10263 paid off (no. 35).
Hi marietje, well done for the 0%, I know how much that can boost a debt challenge :TDMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -
Well my sister has jumped on the bandwagon with my little business idea, she seems to think you charge people for "going to the post office" is she mad?!?! I hardly think you should be paid for walking over the road to a post box! I'm using ALL my will power at the moment to resist going and buying the startup stock...although I have no idea whether I should buy 10 colours of 1 style, or 1 colour of 10 styles?!?!
Only 8 more days until I can update my total! I'm crossing my toes I can go to the 10% minimum mark...then 2 days after that until payday!
Kerri have I missed hearing about what your business is?:eek: I would get 5 colours of 5 styles...whatever they are :rotfl::rotfl:
Well done everyone, some fantastic payments and lovely chat to keep us all motivated. Half term starts for me today, the sun is out so I might take the boys to the park, I need to do my shredding and put some bits on ebay and have a massive clearout. I am also inspired by the business ideas on here so will get going with the idea I had a few years ago!DMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -
