  • On a mission to redeem myself following the spend on the laptop (feeling quite guilty particularly as I have been struggling using it officially old as new technology is now above my capabilities). Been ultra tidying my room at the parents have a pile of stuff for ebay and some clothes I am going to attempt to weigh in. Has anyone tried this yet?? Do the clothes have to be decent quality???

what laptop are you looking at, whats your budget and what do you need it for? :) my budget is £350 and for that I can get a decent laptop for my needs - internet surfing/word processing!

My laptop literally is on its last legs - I've had it nearly 6 years, and it's had a lot of uni use! I have a budget of £450 (my tax refund money). I want something future proof-ish, light weight with long battery life (for travelling). I need it to write reports and play DVDs and music really, but want the possibility of installing some work-related software. This is where I sound like a total girl- I saw one that ticked all the boxes at £500, but I don't like the texture/colour, so I'm going to shell out £50 more for the same laptop but prettier :rotfl: it does have more hard drive, but I really will never use 1Tb!

I am glad it isn't just me then, I paid £70 more for a pink laptop than I would have paid for it in silver :D

right. OH gets paid on friday, i get paid next wednesday, this spay for the rabbit will set us back £110:eek::eek: and it's OH's birthday at the end of the week so we are going out for a meal, i think we're going to be fine moneywise as I've still got £300 left even after the spay, which is pretty good going. don't need anythign food wise, just some greens for the buns. got £1k in the savings and that will be going to pay the outstanding balance on one debtor, OH's wage will cover the other.

going to start growing my own herbs at smoe point at the bunnies get through them like maniacs!

Well my sister has jumped on the bandwagon with my little business idea, she seems to think you charge people for "going to the post office" is she mad?!?! I hardly think you should be paid for walking over the road to a post box! I'm using ALL my will power at the moment to resist going and buying the startup stock...although I have no idea whether I should buy 10 colours of 1 style, or 1 colour of 10 styles?!?!

Only 8 more days until I can update my total! I'm crossing my toes I can go to the 10% minimum mark...then 2 days after that until payday!

    Evening

The last of this week's ebay sales have just been paid so my new total is

    #11 - £2665.11/£10,224 = 26.07%

It is a week and a half until payday. Its been a long month considering Feb is so short :rotfl:

    hi all
got paid today so decided to pay £400 off the credit card. I usually wait til after the 1st of the month before paying credit card bill. I've decided to bite the bullet and pay now as my % rate runs out on the 23rd of this month and want to avoid paying more interest than necessary. I now owe just £300 on this cc but will have to wait til the 5th march when hubby gets paid to pay off the balance. Think things will be tight til next payday but at least its only a four week month,
