Hi there - I'm not on a DMP as such - well I might be - I have an agreement with 4 creditors - how do you come to a settlement figure ??? Also when you agreed your payments by DD did you ever pay more off?? I'm just paying my agreed payments at the moment as this is all I can afford but I would like to pay a little more if I can - but I don't want to be penalised for doing this and them expecting my monthly DD to go up ... Hope this makes sense and you have some first hand advice

well the temporary agreement came to an end and they requested we re-arrange payment with them so we just called up and said, we could settle at £800, but they said they can only give a 20% discount there and then else we would have to wait a few months. just give them a call and see what the lowest figure you could settle at is. we have requested it in writing first to make sure it will be a f&f settlement and marked as such on the credit report too. :)

also i would say not tooverpay on the dmp - the idea of the dmp is to use whatver you have available to chuck at debts, if you suddenly havem ore they will expect you to up your monthly payments

Keep looking at 'the catalogue' for a laptop but No, I am not going to do it, I will save some money from this pay day and buy it outright next month.

Strange to think that in 18 months I will be an OU graduate and I will hopefully have a 10% mortgage deposit. 18 months doesn't seem that far away!

No doubt when I've finished this DFBX 2013 I'll be back again to pay off the balance of my car, quite a lot remaining!

I decided to pay my £40 lottery win off of my credit card. I spent a lot more than that on the bag and purse earlier this month, so couldn't really justify spending the £40 too

    New total -

    #11 - £2647.11/£10,224 = 25.89%

Have re-listed a few things which have not sold twice on ebay, so if they don't sell this time, I may do a boot sale :D

    Have a good week everyone

Confession time I bought a laptop on the cc! Trying to justify it by the fact it helped me apply for a promotion at work (fingers crossed) it will help me with ebay sales AND keep me sane for the 12 weeks of not working following the ovary op. Hoping the ebay sales pick up though!!
    Well done on the control!

    Hello all

Sorry to read about your grandma spagbol.

Nothing going on at Parsniphead towers at the moment. Very short of money this month and probably next month too.

I really should eBay but I have nothing worth ebaying.:mad:

Also I'm still waiting for replies from the last batch of PPI claims. I really hope I'm successful soon.

It's really good reading about how well you are all doing though. I must read every day though.:o

Good luck And enjoy Thursday fritterprincess.

  • How exciting fritterprincess! Looking forward to Friday!

I'm also on the laptop hunt just now. I have found a decent one, but it's almost £100 more than I wanted it to be, but ticks all the boxes. I have the money, but will pay for it on the credit card for the buyer protection. I have to pay £50 to my credit card before I can buy it though, as I don't have a big enough limit!
