  • Thanks starnac what a realisation it's been this week but what a weight has been lifted now I've been honest and have the actual number of how much debt I have!! Can only chip away at it now but at least all the credit cards are gone which is a major thing! Thank god for the credit union being able to give me a consolidation loan!!

  • I too may not be totally debt free by the end of the year but I have already closed a bank account which was only costing me money and without this incentive I may not have succeeded in this small challenge.

Small steps are to many leaps of success!

Oh dear, Metropolitan (who bought one of OH's debts) has wrote to him to say ClearStart have cancelled the agreement and can he arrange a different method of payment? W.T.H! It has not been cancelled so why have they cancelled it, and furthermore what are they doing with them oney if they're not paying the debts!

Oh no :( I have no idea who Metropolitan are, but you could ask C.A.B for advice on this one.

I've just listed 33 items on fleabay on a 10 day listing :D

They're some sorta debt collection people. Hoping they're reasonable :rotfl::rotfl:and will accept a f&f settlement.

Meanwhile OH will be ringing up Clearstart to demand why they didn't pay one of the debtors and why they've stopped paying everyone else even though they're taking his payment

33 items, wow!!! i don't think i even have that much stuff :rotfl:
  • Worked for 8 days straight without a day off last week, was blimmin' hard work but worth it as I paid off a third of my overdraft today. :D That's £150 making:

  • amr547 my sister had something similar, you just need to explain to the creditors, and they are usually happy as long as they know the money will come to them. You have bank statements proving they took the money from your account, so it's not your fault.

Kerrie - I'm impressed by the listings - I got my higher selling allowance yesterday, but that has coincided with me losing all motivation to sell! I've had to rush from work nearly every night this week to post one item at a time

Thanks :) CS have been nothing but trouble IMO!!!

Another payment has gone out so my total is

    £753 / £4400

:j And possibly more later if we can come to an arrangement with Metropolitan / Argos. My savings would pay off OD and Argos, then we'd have to set up a payment plan for the loan.
