Finally got my noddle account :j

It all seems in order. A credit rating of 3/5 ... Kind of expected that one as I have too many accounts open.

Things to do during my week off: close down my old Natwest account, which I have never used...

Also need to work stuff out- what I can afford to overpay on ... maybe the loan? Only £400 on that...

Didn't realise how much I was owing on the car  I'll be paying that off for years! lol.

Actually, what's the proecss for closing a bank account?? Do I just go in with the card and say I want to close the account?

When ive closed an account before in nationwidde, just gone in and did it over the counter, think i got given a few pence that was in there :rotfl:don't know about others though x

  • Wow I'm so impressed with all these fantastic pay offs!! Well done everyone!

Spag, I hope the funeral goes well and your daughters school gets sorted out.

Who would have known jakes-mum was right, I just sold an empty perfume bottle for a few pennies. I have now resold quite a lot of clothes I bought on fleabay last year, but that didn't work out when they arrived - it will teach me not to buy off there anymore! Speaking of the devil' where is j-m these days?

  • Hi everyone not posted for a little while seem to be having a little bit of a lul at the moment after the full steam ahead month that was january. Had a few little spends this month but nothing too major and quite surprised by the balance remaining in the bank although I have got 2 weeks until payday. I have discovered my weakness is for buying chocolate. I have sold a few things on ebay its not a great amount but every little helps right! Was feeling a little disheartened when I made an error on the descriptions of one of the items, fortunately I had a very understanding buyer, however a big lesson learnt. Th operation date is quickly approaching and the nerves are kicking in now although its more around not being able to do anything and how am I going to earn extra cash? I've bought a few bits to try and sell on, on ebay.
The other dilemma I am having is to bite the bullet and buying a new laptop/computer I know its a luxury but the one I have got at the momet is falling to bits and the way I am trying to justify it at the moment is that it may just be my lifeline while I am off, but also it will make selling things on ebay easier and I am also looking for an new job/ promotion and this will help the application go smoother and be quicker to do. What shall I do?????

Thanks everybody for the good wishes.

When I started this challenge last year i.e Nov 2011 this payment was supposed to be the final payment and I would now have been debt free.

However prolonged unemployment meant that I wasn't able to make the original payments as planned, so here I am, still :rotfl:

At 69.93% I'm tantalizingly close to the 70%, but I'd pulled pennies across from other areas to get to the rounded 10000.00 and I'd rather have an odd percentage than an un-rounded figure :rotfl:

At 430.00 a month it's still going to be a challenge getting debt free by Christmas - so no chance to sit on my laurels, gotta keep at it ;)

Come on peeps, we can do this!

Wow some massive payments! Well done everyone!

Spag, sorry to hear about the funeral.

Well i am still sitting at a big fat zero. Fingers crossed that should all change tomorrow ;) I read on another post somewhere about taking things 1% at a time so have got rather [STRIKE]crafty[/STRIKE] childlike and drawn myself a little debtfree table with 100 little boxes. It has little money doodles and is artfully done in felt tips :). Is it sad i'm looking forward to colouring it in?

I'll have to find the card, it's not even registered to my current address  that's how old it is. lol.

Getting tired - works really busy and I am only one person!

No payments made yet - they should go out tomorrow or friday, i always forget which.

Really wish I could earn some money on the side!
