Pay ALL your debt off by Xmas 2013

Now I've got myself back to where I was, with the help of a new spreadsheet, just a small payment of £5.06. This, with the two direct debit payments coming out later this month, will clear another 1% by the end of the month.
So thats #122 788.36/3730
There's a few big expenses coming up this month, so that is all I'm going to pay. If there is anything left over at the end of the month I will throw it at the credit card then, but last month I overdid it and ended up having to use the credit card which is completely counter-intuitive.0 -
So, fellow PAYDOBXers... Where do you hope to be in 5 years???
In 5 years time I hope to:
1. be debt free
2. be back at work perhaps full time in an office environment or running my own business
3. have a mortgage
4. be my ideal weight
5. have a car of my own
There are loads of other things that I want to achieve or do before I get too old, but the ones above are the most important (currently!).£2013 in 2013 £866.71/£2013

Just updating my total, payday is finally here.
# 070 £350/£1450 24.13% I think!
Can't beleive the amount we all paid off in January. It was a long, tough month, My mind swung between wanting to spend money on new bedding, new car a holiday and it went on, to frugal living.
In 5 years I would like to be debt free, have a nice little nest egg for secruity for myself and the family and of course a new car and new bedding.0 -
Well, dammit. My payday is later today and I was so looking forward to reporting a nice chunk of debt paid off. But I hadn't really been keeping track of just how much we've had to spend this fortnight, and actually we've wiped out almost the whole fortnight's salary already. DH changed jobs recently, to one which he loves a lot more, which is great except that he no longer has free parking, and has needed a whole new work wardrobe. And it's the start of school term, which is when his art class and the DDs' gymnastics class start again, so there's been wads of cash handed over for them. Even I finally gave in and went and bought some new weekend clothes on Sunday; I had literally, literally no tops to wear that weren't stretched, faded, bleach spotted or with holes in them.
So if my maths is correct I think I'll be able to report a whopping $150 or so. Bah. My DFD goal is not looking doable any more.
Anyway! Enough sulking, it's my own fault (and I do now have a couple of lovely Jigsaw pieces which I got 70% off).
In five years, I want:
1) The first investment property paid off (please note - I do not yet own an investment property!) and another couple bought.
2) Child #3 (also as yet not in existence) will be in its last year of daycare, so I can FINALLY ramp up my career again and get ahead
3) A new house, with a proper garden for the kids
4) A really, really good fortieth birthday party.MFW diary here. 1 Feb 2017 $229,371 - MFD Feb 2043  aiming for May 2028

Still nothing to declare here. Have made all my payments now, pretty much, so waiting for statements to come in so I can take off the interest from payments then update the miniscule amount I've actually cleared from the balances! :mad:Long haul supporter #290POAYDBX2014 #043LBM Dec 2011 Debt £51K Debt Nov 2014 £42K0

Can I join please!!
We owe £5,736.96 on a credit card with 0% interest. I have a direct debit set at £145 a month but any extra would be a bonus!!!:j
I hope to have paid off the credit card by September as that is when the 0% finishes and then I will start on the rest!!
My Husband and I are also going for fertility test with final appointment at the end of Feb so if this is to be our year to be parents I would like to be as debt free as possible:j
Hi benemm, you are #145  good luck with the fertility treatment

really need to catch up on you all but work has been so busy this week. Just wanted to pop in to say I've paid another £150 to the CC and £70 in the rainy day fund. Hubby is soooooooo having a lightbulb moment he used the mortgage checker on the MSE e-mail and reckons we could be mortgage free by the time we're 55! We could be financially comfortable in 15yrs, to be honest probably less. All those nights I cried myself to sleep whilst Hubby said "one day we'll not be in debt, I promise" despite ending back in debt again and again! So glad to have him on board
The future is actually looking bright at last
That is so lovely to hear, keep it up DH!
Hi Spagbol
