Not sure, what do you mean by wired in? Ours are just screwed on the ceiling...The fire brigade used to do free checks I think, perhaps give them a call.
We tried to take it off the wall but it is connected by wires. It's really cheeky - it clearly hasn't worked since we moved in then ...0 -

I have moved funds around this morning and my new total stands at

Nothing paid off here - only got £63 available to spend until Friday, eek!!! Boyfriend gets paid on Wednesday however and money gets transferred over to me to pay the rent so we aren't too bad.
Another £290 into the savings this week too. Cupboards are stocked, car has petrol, so we don't need anytthing.0 -
still haven't paid off any of the cc yet . hoping to on Thursday when DH gets paid ,everything is paid for month so this week its unallocated plus have quite a bit left in bank compared to normal so hoping to pay off a decent %.
we are having a busy morning doing all the cleaning and baking that needs to be done then we may out into the snow for a while. see how we feel the rest of weekend will be relaxing.

Ah ok I would just get rid and buy a battery operated one then, if you are in a house get a pack of 2 for less than £5 one for downstairs and one for upstairs
