yes :j just hope they don't send me a message again to say the blood sample was no good!

the nurse was confused, she didn't understand why it wasn't able to test what they were looking for! she felt quite sorry for me too as she knows i don't like the blood tests lol.

I work in a lab doing blood tests - there are LOADS of reasons why they couldn't test it but it is awful for the patient to have to get dragged in and tested again especially if they hate having it done in the first place - fingers crossed this one is a good 'un! :D
  • Woo hoo I am so HAPPY!! I paid off my next card today = £555.87

So that brings my total total to: £1,375.87 paid !!!!

That is AMAZING well done you!! :D Seems like a lot of people are quite glad to get rid of their NEXT cards - their bosses won't be happy! :rotfl:

Confession time, as OH and I haven't been rock climbing this week (saving ourselves £13 each) we've just spent £8.08 each on takeaway because I am ridiculously irritable and very snappy. I think I am missing some important vitamin or something from my diet....or it's a hormone thing ;) Still within my budget for the week though, although feeling very guilty because we could have cooked :(

Well you're still £4.92 up just from that anyway and I think snowy Fridays are the perfect excuse for a takeaway! I'm feeling spoilt because OH is putting the lasagne in the oven - but it was me that made it anyway, I just don't want to get off the sofa tonight, gonna be doing some serious mooching :p

Try B12 or Evening Primrose Oil/Starflower Oil. I'm taking both at the moment and seeing a benefit :)

I shall check the vitamins and see what they have in them, I've been taking d3 everyday as it's sunshine in a tablet but that's not helping my mood today :( OH must have known I needed them today as he brought them in before I even got out of bed!:rotfl::rotfl:

what sort of reasons could it not be tested? it's odd! they texted me saying 'your cholesterol level is ..... your liver function sample was not able to check what the gp asked for so another sample is needed' i nearly cried :rotfl:

ouch!!! :( have you set up a payment plan with the company??? we had a big argument with our cmopany about our bill in the usmmer, it was £350 and we are two people who work all day and obv don't have the gas on. they knocked it down to £250 and we now pay £80 a month to build up credit etc. I expect it to be about £400 this quarter though :(

Do you know what they asked for? It could be that the sample was haemolysed (blood cells burst in the tube) so it would interfere with the method. That would affect bilirubin which is in a liver profile. If they asked for a more unusual liver test it could be that they took the wrong sample type. Usually the sample for liver function tests is the same as the sample for cholesterol.

Or it is possible it was a small sample and just ran out...or it was spilt
