Went to the Drake Circus store in Plymouth, got there at 8.25, fair amount of people already leaving with bags full, apart from one lady who had two trolleys and two blue bags and didn't appear to care that she was blocking the isle, everyone was pleasant. All the Sales Assistants were helpful and handing out the large boxes that were harder to reach. There was bits and pieces being put out as I left. Apart from 2 mens FCUK sets, a Ted baker set, No7 hat box, most of what I bought was makeup/nail varnish and hello kitty bits, so that is most of my friends little girls gifts for birthdays and next Christmas. I spent just over £100 but used a £10 gift voucher and £15 in points.
One lady I got talking to, used to work in the Mall and realised it was always the 3rd Wednesday so had penciled it in her diary... She now knows all about MSE forums.
ohhhh and am now wearing a fabulous pair of furry boot slipper things.. (the only thing I bought for me)0 -
Has anyone been to the Canterbury store? I'm wondering if there is any point going at this time of the day? I was planning on going early this morning but had to wait in for someone to fix our heating!2011 Wins: :jDoritos T-Shirt:j Onken Yoghurt Voucher:jBottle of This Water:j0

I got some stuff in the online site but decided to head down to my local Boots 15min after it opened to check out the instore sales. As I walk towards the store, I saw people leaving with bags of goodies already. I ended up not buying anything instore but had a quiet chuckle seeing 2 ladies protecting their loot of 10 Overflowing baskets. Yes, TEN. That made it seem like seeing another lady with 4 Overflowing baskets was nothing.0

That is awful! You should report that to the store. I would have said something loudly, called the SAs over & embarassed him.0 -

Haven't checked through thread as I am on my phone, so apologies if anyone else has mentioned boots at abbey centre. Made my poor husband take me there straight after school run and was all geared up for it being like the soap and glory stampede of 2011 but we were first there. Felt a bit sheepish and thought I had made some horrific mistake but staff were hanging up the 75% off signs just as they opened. A few others had arrived by this time, lots of Christmas cards Nd paper, fcuk sets, jug and bowl sets and men's things. By the time I got the till it was fairly packing up and people had overflowing trolleys. The last, big champneys box was sitting with its cardboard wrapper bit off, so I had a hoak and everything was still in it and nabbed it as overflowing trolley people were eyeing it up! V stressed looking man at till didn't know wether it was in the sale and it rang up at £50 but he brought it down to a tenner, woohoo! Got in and out by 9:20 and a few girls I know went about 10:30 and I heard that nothing was left. This might mean there was nothing they wanted as it is a small branch, no Starbucks things or ted baker or gok wan in it but I am THRILLED with making a start on Christmas and hope others have as much luck!Total debt £20,000 Northern Rock loan:eek:
Debt free date April 2016!!!!:eek:0
