My silence last night - I deleted a really long post and gave up... and I just did the same tonight so forgive my multiple posts I'm getting a cold I'm tired, and I'm just plain lazy! lol xAmeyturtle wrote: »Pop into card factory instead those ones in poundland are literally a printed cardboard bag but you can get similar in card factory for 99p and it is hessian I bought one the other day, I'll pop a picture up later xx
They arent printed cardboard bags! (I'd written below first... lol)mrs-moneypenny wrote: »http://www.poundland.co.uk/catalog/product/view/id/6339/
these look brill in the photo not sure what they are like in reality.
or how about bags for life in a christmassy design?
I got one!!
they are about A3 size *from memory*
Front is a fine hessian/ sack type material very nice back is what I can only describe as the same material as comes with things like shoes and bags for storing them in... ( If that makes sense?)
I like them... I'm planning on turning mine into a cushion thoughusing the front as it is and putting some Christmassy cotton fabric on the back
xI hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.

Nic please don't be so hard on yourself, we've all been there at some stage or another. We do what we have to do, I'm sure if you are able to chip away at it total you will manage just fine. Xxx
Wuvvie I bet your DS (like the lovelies have said) feels very grown up and feels like he's helping at the same time. Argh I remember being a very stroppy teenager too, but it passes, time will show that DD is still your best friend. Forget slimming world completely, it'll still be going when you feel up to it again- although I've never been to a meeting, just had a read of DDs books and have followed the plan. I weigh at home same time same place each week, works for me xxx
his missus haha, I do hope you've managed to sort the instructions for the decorations outxxx
Poppygirl glad you got the bells, but now you've got to tell us what you are using them forI've bought some and some tiny gift boxes and am doing I believe tags to go with mine (in theory this year but hey ho could be next!) xxx

Marco dog oh no sorry my silliness must be contagioushaha. It's getting exciting for you now, almost time to put the house on the market. Woo hooo and already found the perfect bath
I can't wait for the build to start proper, it's going to be wonderful to share in the excitement and thrill of the whole thing. And of course if you need to let off steam it's a good place to do it. If the builders need a word we'll send Mrsinvisible she's a special way with her xxx
Sugarhoney sorry I'm no help at all, takes me all my time to remember my name most days X
Linky glad you got all your jobs done, wow you do put me to shame! If all else fails you could put a drop of amaretto in your coffeeDo hope you manage a lie in in the morning, I'm blooming worn our reading your tasks list xxx
b_e_g I'm chuckling to myself, had to read and reread your posts a couple of times "muc off" haha, another thing off your lists. Aww bless your DH, how lovely was that. Mind you it's the least you deserve after dashing around all day looking after others. You are such a lovely person, it's nice to be appreciated xxx
Fluffysox do not, and that's an order, be thinking of your tum for aaaggggeees yet! After what you've been through enjoy every bite of chocolate. Funnily I got our Christmas story books out yesterday, I store them with the stocking so they can come out early enough to enjoy. Dear Santa and the Christmas angel were the first two I bought when DGD1 was born. DGD2 and I enjoyed them today and the dinosaur that pooped Christmas and one from home bargains (£1.99) about an elephant called Humprey and his sister Lottie. Special times xxx
Gettingtherequickly aaarrgh what can I say, think Mrs M put it beautifully, what a blinking !!!! up for you and of course the families who rely on your support. Lovely to get your purse back tho, goes a little way to restore your faith. Xxx

Kat wooo hooo. I think you are the first on the thread to have your tree up. Good for your DD, she sounds like she's going to be a member of our wonderful thread in years to come. I don't blame your DH at all, bless him coming home and excited for Christmas. Enjoy your time together xxx
Laurajo it's getting exciting isn't it xxx
Feisty Boxing Day buffet is my favourite meal of the year. The stress, anticipation of Christmas is over, it's just time to enjoy, so much more a relaxing meal/day for us anyway. I think it'd be a perfect day to show those who've helped how much you appreciate them xxx
Freespirit you really do know me so well. Thank you, for just being you xxx
Well in other news in the crazy world of Nanamia, shopped till I dropped yesterday, food/essentials shop and a few festive bits did fall into my trolley, specially in M&SPaid off the Argos card, woo hoo debt free (except for little dip into the over draught). Returned troublesome printer that was told was compatible with AirPrint - and wasn't!!!! Bought printer that is
Son from another Mum has been admitted, awaiting any definite diagnosis and care plan. Will wait until Monday then have to have a quiet word! Very lucky to have a fabulous hospital on our door step and an excellent cardio department. Healing vibes/little prayers gratefully receivedxxx
Cake that I didn't want to do (moan moan) has been delivered- gone. One more to do officially!
DGD2 fast asleep in her room next door, will hear a little tip tap toe in the night so I will say night night. And wishing you all a happy weekend xxxThe secret of Christmas

But the Christmas things you do

pigpen Sorry but your idea of eating all the chocolates did make me laugh! Hope she grows out of it swiftly for you...
Totally agree with you on the sicklyness of snow fairy, though my sister loves it! Which means its automatically way too sweet for me, we are most definitely like chalk and cheese...
I've forgotten who was talking about it now... but we always do buffet type get together's over Christmas its easier, pleases more people, and I think more social...
I'm absolutely knackered today... A day of shopping with mum and gran then this evening I've been to a garden centre/lakeland and hobbycraft with friendsthen to the harvester for dinner was lovely! Got a couple of bargains
signed up to hobbycraft email newsletter and got 10% off in there (definitely worth doing!) and they have 3 for 2 on all the Christmassy stuff
, and got a gift card for harvester because I answered a survey so yay!
Then discovered our secret Santa has gone crazy! 2 of us had the same person! Managed to sort that out over a very large sundae... yum! But it's a not so secret Santa now... 3 of us know who everyone has! Which does amuse me because turns out the friend whose boyfriend I definitely didn't want and luckily didn't get.. has got me!
I am finally home in my new reindeer leggings and in bed with a terribly sore throat, fingers crossed its a cold I only said to my mum yesterday that I hadn't had tonsillitis in a while think I was tempting fate
Me and tonsillitis are too acquainted

Morning all,
According to the EA we are just days away from completing on the house sale:beer:.
We have decided to get dd an ipad this year but Ive no idea what im looking for ! is it worth going for the new version [ipad aire] or the ipad 2 ?
What accessories would i need ?
She has had such a stressful year and due to paying for 2 properties since Feb she has only had a quick trip for her birthday in April so we want to splash out .This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

If you have the money go for the aire. It's 28% lighter than the 2. I love my iPad 2 but it is heavy if taking it out in your bag.
Make sure you get 3G of 4G. They are a more expensive but without it she will not be able to use it away from home. ( or somewhere with the interment ). iPads are network free, so she could get a sim from anyway.
As for accessories, earphones and a case. Shop round for the case, they vary greatly in price.0 -

So pleased I could just pick the motorbike cleaner off the shelf and didn't have to run the risk of having a slip of the tongue asking the assistant for it. Not that the naughty word appears in my vocabulary usually but there's always a first time
I think its an Air Printer DS told me I 'need' for printing off from my laptop. I closed my ears as it sounded expensive. We have a 3 in 1 thing atm and I just dropbox things I want printing and shout over to DH to run them off for me. System works so in my mind don't try to fix what ain't broken.Knowing my luck it will probably play up this afternoon now - I will have jinxsed it.
So far I think we have the weekend off from hospital visiting. The elderly lady (nearly 90) says she has got a lift but I have a feeling she will be getting a taxi. I feel awful really but looking forward to being at home and trying to catch up on things. Will have to make sure that I use the time well and not waste it.
Thinking of your son from another mum. It's awful when someone so young is poorly. So good that he has such caring people around him. xxI'm absolutely knackered today... Sounds as though you had a lovely day. Your comments on the Secret Santa made me chuckle. :rotfl: Hope you are feeling better today.
Well need to pop down town for a few bits of fresh stuff that we didn't get yesterday and then I need to go to the town on the other side of us to collect a pair of shoes that I had ordered. We were parked outside the Clarks shop yesterday and within half an hour of getting home I received a text to say my shoes were ready for collection - typical.
Doesn't look too bad outside just now (probably really cold) but last night when we came home everywhere was covered in a thick white frost and we had to de-ice car. Hope its not slippy - I hate it, I get so nervous which makes matters worse.
Well hope you all have a lovely weekend. Not promising but I might try to get Mums xmas cards done for her in the morning.

Congrats on completing chrissyg!
It depends what she uses the iPad for - if it's browsing, watching films etc the iPad 2 is great - I've got one and love it. The iPad air is lighter and more streamlined, it unless she's a big gadget-head, I suspect the iPad 2 will more than meet her needs.0 -
Morning all,
The last gift arrived yesterday in the post so apart from a voucher & some cash in an envelope I am DONE. Only need to wrap the last stocking fillers & the gift that arrived yesterday but as it needs installing will wait until a week before Christmas, after ds goes to bed then install it & then put it back in the box, wrap & stick under the tree. lol
This weekend we are working on ds Christmas cards, got a couple of card packs from crafty crocs, stickers, sparklies, glitter glue & other stuff so execting to be in chaos but he is 6 so perfect for him to let off his creative side. haha Oh, also need to pick up a glue gun to make the sleighs, have all the makings but no way of putting it together, amazing that 20 kit kats have survived in the house all week but hiding them in the wardrobe helped. haha
Going to decorate the last 2 of the 4 cristmas cakes this weekend, did 2 of the smaller ones last week but need to buy more candy decorations as ds ate them all whilst "helping" me last week!!! and plan to do some batch cooking too, have a mutton neck for a curry & a butternut & beef slow cooker casserole on the cards too. I'm stockpiling hearty food in frozen batches in preparation for the cold snap due.
oh, ds just asked for a lasagne, ok I have mince to ue up so add a hm lasagne to that list of cooking as well.
I better get of the interwebs & get a move on!
Have a great weekend all, I find it hard to respond to you all individually but I do read you all & offer my support, sympathy, congratulation, cheers when you might need it.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.
