I think you're right OMO. I've gone back to shopping at Aldi and it's amazing how much cheaper my weekly shop is. I was also really pleased because they do free range chicken (I won't eat battery chicken meat or eggs) and it's cheaper than Asda where I've been shopping.
Don't forget there's a £5 voucher off a £40 shop in Aldi in the Daily Mirror next Thursday (been on the Grabbit board and think it's going to be bumped again next week to remind everyone). Just remember that at Aldi you have to give them any vouchers before they start scanning.

That is my plan on Monday (pay day) Thankyou for thinking of me though0 -
evening all
had homemade pizza and garlic bread for tea whilst watching a christmas film on channel 5. then its strictly and dr who. my little boy loves pizza night and i find it so cheap. things went well with my daughter yesterday. she was clean and looked well and seems to be doing well at school although its hard to beleive anything she says. im getting on well with her as long as i dont mention anything thats happened or dare to ask for answers. i have to accept whats happened and move on.so hard. harder for my husband as he has seen what ive been through as i was devestated in the early days.
anyway were having a special day tomorrow as were going out for lunch and then were going to a garden centre that has a big christmas shop in it. really looking for ward to this.
told my boy today that santa wasnt quite ahem you know. hes quite young to know (9) but he kept asking questions in a way that i would have had to literally lie. i kept saying oh yes its nice to beleive etc but he has been told in school and it was hard for me. ive never told my girls but at 16 and 18 i think they have an idea. afterwards he said he was a bit sad and i said oh no shouldnt i have told you and he said no maybe not. i was gutted but my daughter said i did the right thing.
sorry i dont reply personally to you all like some of you do but i do read and take in everything you say. especially all those who have good wishes for me thanks everyone0 -
Thankyou for the well wishes it is definitely just a cold luckily...DD3 ate the chocs from 2 of the younger girls calendars a couple of years ago when she was 11 so knew better.. so I fed them hers.. she was hysterical and I was the most evil person ever, but she remembers! She steals the sweets and stuff the others get all the time which causes a lot of problems in here, she steals all manner of food bought for everyone (steals meaning.. sneakily takes things needed for something or meant to be shared without asking and eating it in the toilet or somewhere gross so as not to get in trouble.. half the time if she asked she could have what she takes... but not sweets the others get for birthdays and christmas). It has caused a lot of resentment over the years.
That happens around here... only its usually my dad nicking it!! GGRR! When I was little talked and cried in my sleep once, just the once... and I was crying saying my dad ate my cream egg... lol!
No time for more Dr who time!!
xI hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....0 -

Evening everyone, i finally got out to our two local garden centres to see all the christmassy bits and was really disappointed
whats happened this year??? They are usually brilliant and really get you in the festive mood but one was tatty and the other was a quarter size than usual, i suppose if i hadnt been looking forward to it so much it would have been brilliant, but we just fancied going out for a mooch and a coffee and DD1 said it felt like we should be putting the tree up so i thought it would be nice seeing all things christmassy.:(
CHRISSYG congratulations on nearly completing, what a relief that will be, DD totally deserves to be treated after the horrible year she has had, im sure she will be thrilled. I was just saying the same thing to DD1 in sainsburys tonight my god everything is so expensive im not going to get much for my £40 nectar points (£35 now as bought some kopperberg for christmas :)a
WUVVIES so glad it went ok with DD yesterday, its a start and things hopefully can only get betterhope you have a lovely day tomorrow, i think DS has done well to get to 9 before finding out, these days. Kids like nothing better than to burst someones bubble.
BLUEEYEDGIRL hope you have a restful weekend
PIGPEN i actually used to be that girl like DD3 i was always picking sweets or chocs (easter eggs, selection boxes) from my sisters, especially the one who still had b****y easter eggs still in november, until one year they ate all my stash, i never did it again
JJ glad you are having a lovely time still#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -
Haha I was the chocolate hoarder who still had Easter eggs the following March lol. No more.... now it gets eaten lol
Thanks Nanamia, I won't be giving up the chocolate just yet, I know I'll get back to normal at some point, I dug out a couple of pairs of jeans a size bigger than I was wearing at the start of the year. They are a bit snug but it was a relief to wear something thicker than leggings. I've been freezing lately =-O.
My winter coat is a bit snug too but the jacket I had been wearing was only light.
Bought another pram/ travel system via ebay. Bargain but I've spent my energies today cleaning it. DH went shopping for my birthday ;-) One of our lovely nieces took DS1 out for the day so I only had the baby.2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013

Pixtotts your day yesterday sounded so good. Hope you managed to get a hold of that sore throat and are feeling better today. DGD2 has been sharing her germs the last couple of days I've got a niggly throat, you know when you just know it's there? (Not sore but not right or is that just me haha) xxx
Chrissy I'm scared to say fab news, till it's actually complete! Don't want to jinx anything, but everything crossed its very quick now. I'm glad you've decided to get DD an iPad this year, she's had such a blooming tough time she deserves a special treat this ChristmasI've an iPad 2 and love it, I mean really love it. DS bought it before he left for Oz as I way for us to keep in touch via FaceTime I have a £5 month contract with vod@ in case I take it out of the house otherwise it uses my existing wifi. I never put the computer/laptop on anymore is just so easy on here. She will love it. (I don't find it heavy and I've travelled quite a bit with it) Hope your diabetic screening went ok, not pleasant are they DH has his this week too xxx
b_e_g yes there could easily have been a slip up haha. I hope you've enjoyed your day at home and spent it wisely on the sofa with a coffee and a remote for the tvxxx
Quidsy wow you are busy. Is your house full of glitter from the Los card making ooh I used to love that xxx
Linky you are not sad, well I hope not cos a similar thing happened to me. I didn't go to the football today, too cold and felt a little yuk so DH went with a friend of ours. I took myself off for a snooze then mopped through in peace, knowing nobody was going to walk on my wet floor ha xxx
Laurajo you did so well getting so much done in one trip, go girl. And yay glad you got a bargain, you've done good xxx
his missus Oooh hope you can pop a picture of the craft hamper up when it's donexxx
Wuvvie well done with DDs visit, a step in the right direction isn't it. Even if you are not quite sure she's telling you the full story you could see with your own eyes that she looked clean and well cared forSo that's a good thing and you are talking about it (not bottling it up) another good thing, that's what we are here for
You will get there and DH will too. Your poor little one, it's never easy is it he probably had an idea just didn't want it confirming (neither do I
) xxx
JJ ssssshhhhh quick shout out in a very loud voice "I do believe in Santa, I do believe in Santa" ten times and you might get away with it, otherwise there will be no presents for you come Christmas morning haha. Don't say goodbye to your gorgeous god daughters and friends say "See you soon" I bet they enjoyed dancing with you too xxx
Freespirit I thought it was just me found Christmas displays a let down this year. Seems to be missing a little magicIm hoping it gets some very, very quickly. How is your washing going? Have you conquered it? You know what day it is now 24th woooo hoooo next time it's the 24th it'll be our favourite day of the year. I can't wait xxx

Question for separated parents... what do you do about Christmas contact with the NRP????
Rant on.. please feel free to scroll on by it is a major vent!
KH (second word is head) was off on one again tonight (he does this periodically).. yelling on the doorstep he is going to a solicitor again.. (maybe he should give me the amount the CSA agree he should if he can afford to do that) .. he wants the children Christmas day and they want to be here with me.. all but 1, who is a buttkiss and 9 and not lived with him since she was 4 so doesn't remember how horrible he was (others are 18, 16, 14, 13 and 11).. but apparently the childrens wishes are irrelevant when it comes to what he wants, when it suits him.. and I am.. *sob sniff* .. an idiot... my reply of 'I must be to have put up with you for so long'.. lmao.. makes me a child.. no, refusing to give in to his bullying doesn't make me a child, it means I have grown up.. a little
Apparently me saying they could decide when they go to his is the same as giving them a packet of cigarettes an x-rated DVD and letting them live on chocolate.. pmsl...
Over the summer holidays he had the children 1 extra day because I forced it.. I was in hospital having the baby.. and he didn't have them, his trollop did! He hasn't done a parents evening or hospital appointment in his life, and has been the cause of more than 1 hospital visit and school 'concerns'. He doesn't have any interest in any of them aside from the 3 youngest and 2 of them don't want to go, the older 3 don't want to go at all and the 2 oldest who no longer live at home have no relationship with him. he took the younger 2 (9 and 11) out today and I said they could stay over if they wanted as it is freezing and he brings them home really late (8:30)... but no, he turns up at 9 with them!! I do all communication by text so I have a written record... and a darn good solicitor!
Why should I let him play perfect parent when I do the hard work and he gets to put them down, ridicule and bully them and say they are not welcome to go to his house like he has done 6 of them? He doesn't calculate DS3's food properly or make sure DD4 does her injections so doesn't even meet their medical needs. Surely at 9-18 they are able to decide for themselves and their wishes should be taken into account? I guess as most of this is documented it could be accessed easily enough.
Why does he always play total KH at Christmas??? Other than he thinks it would really bother me.. tbh I'd be happy enough doing Christmas day a day early or late, it doesn't matter really it is just the fact he wants to use the children as a weapon to get at me and does not respect their wishes.
And enough ranting..
I have dug out all my wrapping supplies and will start the wrapping on Monday.. can't do tomorrow as we have DD5's birthday party and I won't have time.
