Make sure you get 3G of 4G. They are a more expensive but without it she will not be able to use it away from home. ( or somewhere with the interment ). iPads are network free, so she could get a sim from anyway.
As for accessories, earphones and a case. Shop round for the case, they vary greatly in price.
thanks - we never take expensive things on holiday with us , all she ever takes is her mp4 and her portable dvd player- she spends more time making sure all her angel bears are packed comfortably !lol
I have to have my diabetic eye screening later today , i know its only once a year but i really hate it as it feels like they are dragging stinging nettles across my eyeball when they put the drops in.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I think it is made worse by the fact she has always been so good!mrs-moneypenny wrote: »i know what you mean i get the shower gel every year for my girls but as they are all now over 20 i think it would be a bit kiddie for them.
DD2 will grow out of it pigpen but its annoying shes damaging perfectly good possessions, she will learn quicker if they arent replaced.
off out now got a gold evening at DS2 school, - golf along the corridors and up and down the stairwells:rotfl:
all good fun.
I bought some showel gel for DD1's OH last year at 26 and OH just sent some to a friend who is 43... they aren't too old
Nothing is being replaced.. I am looking for a scabby old functional phone though I need to be in touch with her sometimes.... Looks like she will be a year without a laptop though big things like that are replaced/bought as Christmas gifts and I've already done her for this year.freespirit66 wrote: »PIGPEN they do test your patience sometimes dont they, mine wouldnt dare cos they know i would call their bluff, and not replace them (evilmum)i do like the eating all the chocs in their advent punishment though will remember that one :rotfl:
DD3 ate the chocs from 2 of the younger girls calendars a couple of years ago when she was 11 so knew better.. so I fed them hers.. she was hysterical and I was the most evil person ever, but she remembers! She steals the sweets and stuff the others get all the time which causes a lot of problems in here, she steals all manner of food bought for everyone (steals meaning.. sneakily takes things needed for something or meant to be shared without asking and eating it in the toilet or somewhere gross so as not to get in trouble.. half the time if she asked she could have what she takes... but not sweets the others get for birthdays and christmas). It has caused a lot of resentment over the years.
I really must start wrapping soon.. I know once I start it I'll have it all done in no time!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I am in heaven
Everyone is out. Ds is at football and dd has taken Mia for a long walk then taking her to a friends. Friends Dad is unwell and they can't have their own dog, but they love seeing Mia.
I am going to Hoover through and watch some TV before they all get back. Robbie will be here in a few hours so it really is the calm before the storm . :rotfl:
ETA - have wiped down front and French doors. Hoovered and steam cleaned the floors. Now stuck in lounge until floors dry.
But how sad is my life, if the thought of doing that when I'm alone excites me.
Mind you it was nice just whipping through without a mad dog thinking the Hoover is a large toy, and 2 kids moaning about not being able to hear the TV.0 -
Can't remember who was looking for kinder eggs the other day but I spotted some in Farm Foods freezer shop this morning 2 for £1. Don't know whether this is a good price or not as it is such a long time since we bought any. Hth.

Well was up and of early this morning to make a dent in the christmas shopping!
I think I'm 90 percent there...all done for dh, DHs mam, my mam, my brother and his girlfriend (although I got her something I could easily swap to my mam if they split up - they've been talking about it lately) and my sister in law. Just got to get an on-window bird feeder for father in law and a photobook done for my dad.
Really chuffed, went to MacArthur glens designer outlet and got a Ralph Lauren t shirt reduced from £50 to £12.99!
York was heaving, glad I got it done this weekend rather than leaving it any later, god knows what it's going to be like in a couple of weeks! Had a glass of hot fruit punch so feeling quite festive!0 -
Hello all,
Some more arty bits bought for the girls. I really need to buy a box to put them in so I can see how much I've actually spent and if I need anything else (apart from red paint)
Next Saturday is my shopping for Hubby's pressies day whilst he's at the footy and I don't have to be home due to work.
Bought the chocs for our advent calendars today and cleared a space for the tree to go. Display cabinet is having to go upstairs! Tree won't get done for a few weekends though.0 -
I was in morrisons at 7 am today thought id get the shopping done but when did it get SO expensive? i didnt get half of what i wanted but spent almost twice as much.A lot of the "offers" were for items that were smaller than the usual size so weren't really much of an offer. grump over.
I did put all my christmas cards in the post today so thats one less job on my list. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

We have £65 in stamps to spend in there for Christmas, but I told dd next year I am just putting the money away so I can do the big shop in Aldi.
We don't get many extras at Christmas but I know we could get a lot more shopping in there.0
