OMO - what a beautiful baby! He's gorgeous! Congratulations again, enjoy all the love and cuddles to come.

( I'm very jealous, would love to be a nanna, but think it will be a few more years before either of my children oblige. Never mind, will be hopefully retired by then, so more time to play! )

Hello. My Oh is also away this weekend. I'm quite looking forward to being in charge of the telly and have what I fancy for tea. :T

Linda-Lou, that was a lovely surprise to get. Must be great to see after these years? X

Hi Caitlyn, lovely to see you xx

I'm trying to pack up most of our room today. I spent an hour folding clothes and putting them nicely into a large vacuum bag, only to find it had a hole. So I had to re start. I've decided to have a cup of tea before doing any more.

Moneysavingmumofone how rude! Renames website rude-c-wrappings.com

Own My Own what a gorgeous little boy, you and his parents must be so proud!

Island_mum have a great time out with your girlfriends, it’s a one-off occasion you’ll always remember fondly

Nanamia wonderful news about your dsil

kayandy I agree with Linda-Lou I’m sure that your friends and family will dress up for your evening do and will be disappointed if you both appear in casual clothes. Given that, when I got married dh and I carried on wearing our wedding finery during the evening, and I changed for an hour just to get some wear out of the dress I’d bought as an alternative :)

caitlyn22 I’m so pleased that you had a lovely experience at the jewellers after the rudeness you experienced earlier, there was no need for the person concerned to behave that way, I’m sure that other couples in the shop were put off and went elsewhere too

daisiegg and caitlyn22 congratulations on your upcoming weddings, I got married last year and I’m looking forward to hearing about your plans over the next months

I've lost my fitbit whilst clearing my nan's house. There is a 0% chance of finding it - I am so upset :(

Really glad you have had a lovely day :D

Ds loves babies and small kids. He can act like a big kid and say silly things and nobody takes any notice. They just think he is entertaining the kids, when in fact he is having more fun than them.:D
  • snugglebunny - i do valued opinions but dont seem to qualify for more than 1 or 2 a week - it took me over 2 months to get my first £10!! Mind you, maybe i will stand a better chance now i have more time!!

omo - baby robbie is absoloutly gorgeous. enjoy him, and enjoy spoiling him!

IAM A NON SMOKER!! i actually feel & beleive it now, thankyou all for your support & kind words - we worked out today that in these first 5 days alone, we have saved over £35 between us, what a horrid thought, all that money we wasted! Off to finish the ironing, i looooove being a domestic goddess!!! :rotfl:

Hurrah for another good day with your SiL Nanamia! It can be tough when you're watching someone day by day, I know what it's like to watch out for every sign and symptom and play things over in your mind. Pleased to hear you've had some fun today at the panto ("Oh no you didn't!" etc ;))
Was dragged through Wilkos yesterday sooo many sale bargains and I could get a look in as hubby was on a "I don't want to be here" mission.
Bit short on cash at the minute anyways so that might have something to do with it.

I definitely need to stick to online sales shopping to save my pennies. Several times in the last fortnight or so I've filled my online shopping basket with lots of Christmas things and then talked myself out of it. Nearly all of the shops I'd be checking online and I've since been in to town and visited every single one of them and somehow my strength to resist isn't as strong when things are physically in front of me! I suppose on the plus side, I have wrapping paper, tags and cards to last me the next few years! OH also undertook our January tradition - I always get a lovely calendar at Christmas (this year was the Rob Ryan one) and we put this in the kitchen. OH likes a calendar in his 'office' (the spare room! :rotfl:) so come January we go and buy the silliest thing we can find - this year it's the rather brilliant Yoga Dogs!

I've also taken the initiative to buy ALL of my family and friends birthday/anniversary cards for the year! Wrote a huge big list of what I'll need and then picked them up in sales and at the Card Factory. Spent so much less than I would normally as I often forget then feel bad and dash in and pick up the first (expensive) thing I see. Going to feel very pleased with myself just reaching in to my stash every time one is needed. Said this to OH and he looked at me like I really need to get a life!

I buy for 2 young boys and this year my hampers were all tin based. So they each got 3 tins from Mr T when they were in sale..... Filled one with marbles and choc coins, 2nd with toy soldiers (bought tub from Wilko and split it between them) then 3rd had personal gift. So Lego for eldest, bought when it was on offer and sky lander for youngest ditto. All for £10 - £12.

These sound like such good presents! I've actually noticed from my nephews (12 and 8) that while they often seem to be getting too old for silly or more traditional toys they do really enjoy them! That's what I keep telling myself anyway...they're indulging me for now!

Torville and Dean have just come on the TV! Just brought back so many memories of being little and watching them with my mum. We loved them and think we even went to see them for one of my birthdays. I have to reach quite far back in the memory bank for happy memories of my mum but they are there, bless her!

I do like the odd night when OH is away and I can catch up on one of 'my' TV shows! :j
daisiegg and caitlyn22 congratulations on your upcoming weddings, I got married last year and I’m looking forward to hearing about your plans over the next months

Thank you and congratulations on your wedding! My plans are relatively plain and simple - hopefully daisiegg has something more exciting to share than I do! I do however have OH's sister's wedding before that which was, until yesterday a complete secret to everyone else in her family!! So I'll no doubt have wedding dramas in the next few months but hopefully they won't be around ours!

Erm, I think to be a goddess you have to rule and oversee a number of dynasties and dioceses...you can come and do my ironing if you like? ;)

Well done on the no smoking, I have huge respect for those who give up

Oh no feisty surely it will turn up? Were you inside? Bless you when you were doing such a kind thing too:(
Linky aaw it'll be brill for your DS then with the addition of your little prince. DS sounds like he could be worth his weight in gold. X
Caitlyn another beautiful post, you sound such a kind caring person :) I can't believe you've been that organised, would you like to come and sort my packing, I will give you a shout when our resident domestic goddess has been to do the ironing :) ha ha xxx

The news from the hospital is good too this is day three of improvements wooo hooo I'm so pleased I can't describe it. In fact I'm quite giddy!!! I will see DSiL later myself but all sounds to be going really well :) xxx

Caitlyn DH and I married in a registry office with his brother and my BFF on a Monday lunchtime, I wore a pretty summer dress and DH just smart pants and a shirt cost us for the license I think around £12.50 and in August we will have been married 28 years. You can't get much simpler than that I've honestly never for one single second regretted doing it that way :) xxx
