Oh aye, and if OMO/Risky still wanted blog post ideas - I wouldn't want to see yet more heart-shaped, red or pink things! Not sure what sort of direction you were after taking with it, but what about something like foods historically believed to be aphrodisiac or good for couples and yummy recipes involving them?

Feisty Fidget - what a terrible comment for him to make.
I buy for 2 young boys and this year my hampers were all tin based. So they each got 3 tins from Mr T when they were in sale..... Filled one with marbles and choc coins, 2nd with toy soldiers (bought tub from Wilko and split it between them) then 3rd had personal gift. So Lego for eldest, bought when it was on offer and sky lander for youngest ditto. All for £10 - £12, hope that helps? I know some of the newspapers do "free" Lego from time to time so worth looking out for that.2015 £2 Saver #82

hi all its bhatti again
ive been reading the posts and i just thought i will have to give some special advice.
GIFTS
when it comes to gifts do the family/friends really remember all the crappy plastic we buy them?
im now going with the approach of 'memorable fun days out' & it doesn't have to cost much e.g museums in London, ice skating, horse riding, indoor rock climbing, photo shoot, travel, pantomime etc...
i feel the memories made will last much longer then the unwanted presents. make sure you also take some photos so it lasts even longer.
hope that helps0 -

Hmm. On paper it makes sense, but the child in me would be disappointed not to see a pile of beautifully wrapped gifts....even if what's inside is tat! I LOVE GETTING PRESENTS!!!! :rotfl:0 -
I did a "day out" gift once. It didn't look like much under the tree, but then I had the idea of wrapping it with a toy remote car, in lots of red shiny wrap and ribbons etc. Looked amazing. The gift was returned sadly, as it was supposedly "unthought out" The partner at the time was also 'returned' in the end
:P That said - I do a day out for hubby for his birthday every year. We like the monoliths and standing stones of the world.. so we go exploring. He loves it far more than socks. Kids are different though
Disneyland is the next reveal up my sleeve as soon as I can scrimp enough together. ;(

Well me and my boyfriend have just had a random convo!! He thinks that when we get married (not even engaged yet!!) we should wear traditional wedding stuff to get married and for the party wear everyday clothes as neither of us like to be dressed up and only a few people in the family like to be he says everyone will be more relaxed in everyday clothes etc!! What do you guys think?0
