what colour theme are you having this yr? was going back to red/gold but actually quite liking the red/white thats very popular this yr. ok actually I keep seeing lots of different themes I like and can't decide :undecided
As I can never decide, I'm doing different themes in different rooms.
Living room - traditional cosy reds, greens and golds.
Dining room - Scandinavian red, white and plain wood.
Everywhere else - retro glittery tat.
Oh and I'm having an enchanted forest too (inspired by someone on this very thread!) With some of those small wooden lit up houses and wooden trees and various woodland animals I've been picking up here and there.:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0 -
Evening ! ( can't bring myself to say good)
You know when you get a new medication and the doctor says it has the averse effect on one in 1000 people so don't worry. Well dd was the 1.
She has been having trouble with her monthlies. They have been heavy and lasting 2 weeks, so the doctor put her on the pill to try and regulate them. This was on Monday.
This morning at work she phones me from school crying. She is in a toilet cubical and is in such a mess she can't get out if it. I rang the medical room and informed them and they said they would go and find her and not to worry. I left work and started driving home when my mobile started ringing again. It's the school. They had rung for an ambulance.
Without going into to much detail, the hospital nurse said it was like dd had had her whole period at once.
Luckily she did not need a transfusion. She had injections every hour until 4, when the bleeding slowed down.
We are now home. I have a hot wash on trying to save dds favourite jeggings. Of all the days to wear them she choose today, bless her.
I am not holding out much hope, but am trying my best. They have had half a bottle of Ace bleach on them as well.
Sorry if that was too much detail for anybody, I just needed to tell someone.
Freespirit I hope your day went well0 -
Aw, poor thing! And how awful for her that it happened at school instead of at home.:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0

Aww bless her Xx
Thoughts are with you & your DD & agree with LalaGomay about it being a shame that it had to happen at school & not at home, poor lass ... lots of hugs to both of you. Must have been quite a shock for you too xx
Mine began at primary school & so unaware was I, that it took a fellow pupil to point it out to me during sports day:o
Really hope the doctor can offer some good advice or medication although (hopefully) it'll probably sort itself out in time X

I should be able to get some time off next week, but the doctor at the hospital said it should all be over by Sunday.dd is hoping to go back to school on Monday. She is hardly bleeding at all now.
They also gave her a depo injection. This should shop her bleeding all together. As in none at all while she has it.( one injection every 12 weeks). It is the one I have and I haven't had a period since 1997. They try not to give it to young girls as it takes some time to leave your body. This could make it harder in later life to conceive. But at the moment that isn't our main consideration.
When the nurse said what they were doing dd panicked as she had heard the injection can cause weight gain. The nurse informed the weight gain was about 2lb a year. So if dd put on 7lbs over Christmas it would be over eating not the jab. This was the first time dd laughed all day. :rotfl:0 -
Omo, so sorry for your daughter. I suffered for years and had lots of issues with leaking through clothes. Be careful with the depo injection, keep an eye on her moods, I turned into a mental case on fhem and it was only getting a coil 3 years ago in my mid 30s that I finally got it sorted but I kmow others who had no issues on it at all but it is known to cause bad mood swings. I really hope it works out for her.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.
