Mrs-moneypenny could you please repost the link to the Christmas knitting patterns? I've tried searching the thread for it, but can't find it. My friend was talking about doing a Christmas jumper and I'd like to send her the link. Hopefully she'll make me one next year.
Thank you!Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Lots of bargains - and 15% off today and free delivery over £25 order. Also got the elusive minecraft annuals for £3.99, (or when you add 2 it changes to £6 on order). New Lego playbook too for £4.99 its much more than this in supermarkets etc.
HTHS - Oops nearly forgot don't forget quidco or topcashback too.
I brought Eragon boxed set reduced down to £20 and then to £17 for 4 huge hardbacks - my son loves this series of books and 2 minecraft annuals and new lego play book.0 -
if it is a carving pumpkin.. bin it
If it is an eating pumpkin using it like butternut squash is fine
I always cook carving pumpkins too, never found them to be any different to my locally grown farm shop ones.... I dunno if they are though I only discovered pumpkin was yummy a couple years ago
. My home grown ones have never grown though rabbits and slugs eat all the flowers ggrr!!
(I actually recycle all our halloween pupkins into soup, take out the candles and slugs and noone need ever knowlol).
LalaGomay Haha I don't know but they manage it every time! I loved their summer one last year with the girl in the red dress growing up...
Those Christmas jumpers look fab! If my nanny was still here I'd definitely have a go at that snowman one (and the snowflake one...) but don't think I'd manage it should have learnt more from her my knitting skills only stretch as far as scarfs for teddies which never ever got finished lol.
xI hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.

gotta catch up later but just wanted to mention that asda have 1litre baileys on offer starting today for £10 & it had the free coffee sachet attached. also boots are doing 20% off itunes vouchers till the 12th
Thank you for that, I managed to save £20 on the iTunes vouchers for DS. Another two marked off the Christmas and birthday lists0 -
fluffysox hes soo cute glad your starting to feel better
fiesty finally an appointment date thats great news hopefully you will get some real answers/plan forward
choccymousse well done to ds seems it was def the right move for him and hes made big progress you must be proud
we did ok with homegrown pumpkins had 8 decent ones not particually big but very tasty even if they mostly ended up as cupcakes
been busy trying to make up for last wk managed to sort through most of the my xmas bits and apart from the kids everyone else is done
wrapped the rest of the presents and packed away in a locked suitcase away from prying eyes just gotta finish with bows/ribbons but will do that as and when so they don't get smooshed
stocking fillers sorted into relevent bags still bits to get but around 75% done
only got to get 1 more pressie for youngest
most of the stuff left to get is for the eldest teenage boys are so difficult
next thing on the list is to sort out the household stuff and whats gonna go where as I have a serious lack of space.
what colour theme are you having this yr? was going back to red/gold but actually quite liking the red/white thats very popular this yr. ok actually I keep seeing lots of different themes I like and can't decide :undecided
on the xmas film front santa buddies & santa paws are great family films esp if you have younger kidsthis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
Is there someone on here who likes stags?!
Just got home from work, switched the tv & fire on, lit the candles & realised that I have a beautiful stag candle holder that does not seem to have had a mention here before (probably because it's not very MSE) but nonetheless , think it's worthy.

Some say its a reindeer, others a deer or a stag. Either way, he's a beaut & appears to jump & dance about once the candle is lit inside the holder.
