  • OMO - Welcome to Mia, how lucky she is!

I NEED the chocolate trifle, actually, I would settle for the oreo's right now!

Just had to quickly pop on to say
    1) My yankee qvc order is on its way! Yippee!
    2) Have managed to sell a bundle of dd2 baby born stuff to a friend. Its all in excellent cond as she has never really been into dolls so its hardly used (the pram has never even left her bedroom!) So I am going to put the money towards pay off my studio order, rather than have to pay monthly interest! V. pleased!
    3) After staring at it every time I opened the fridge for the past 2 weeks, I have finally given in and drank my sample chocolate baileys, all I can say is ... YUM!

Hope everyone is well and snuggled up from the cold xx
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.
  • A huge thank you to everyone for the suggestions! You have all helped me feel a lot more positive about the situation :) I am going to take a huge wad of business cards with me to leave EVERYWHERE ;)

OMO I am going to get working on a loyalty scheme card straight away :) Huge congrats about Mia, we NEED to see pictures :D

Kev, could you contact the guy directly and explain you wish to purchase wholesale and does he have trade prices? Explain that you have passed his details on to everyone you know and that ideally you would need to start with a smaller order (say 10) but will be returning as soon as they have sold?

crafty, I always forget how close you are to me :D I hope the echo will be interested to hear that we are trying to revive the crafts part of the courtyard craft centre. We also support handmade artists and offer them space in the shop, and we are running workshops too! Not too sure how happy Molly's Den would be about me leaving flyers, but I can but ask ;)

As you can imagine I'm not overly keen on the red bed, but it was £10 and the other colours were pink  and purple

    At least red is festive.

I must get off the internet. I have fallen in love with a pouffe and throw.

And be leave it or not dd did not pull faces when I showed her. But then she does love laying on the sofa with a nice throw.

Eta mkgirl. I love the candle holder. Saw one today in M&S but it was £159. Yes £159 !!!
  • Omo just been on the grab bit board and there is one called bling ring 99p and when you scroll down the comments someone has put a link to a stag like ring for about 1.50 and thought of you. On my phone and no idea how to cut and paste sorry x

Wow! Now that's my kind of pudding :D

Good luck with the shop Feisty, just do whatever you can to get the word out to people, and make sure your online presence is as good as it can be. I'm sure your customers will appreciate that it's all good quality and handmade and not just cheap rubbish.

On a present-related note, DH and I went to the Twinings shop on the first day of our honeymoon (we didn't even realise it existed!) and he tried a free sample of really fancy loose-leaf tea. He wanted to buy a packet of it, and then realised it was £24!! So I'd like to treat him to it for Christmas, but I'd also like to get some money off somehow if I can. Does anyone here know whether Twinings do sales or money off vouchers, or whether anywhere else sells Twinings posh tea? This is the one I'm after http://shop.twinings.co.uk/shop/twinings-tea/loose-teas/darjeeling-loose-teas/2013-1st-flush-darjeeling-phoobsering-estate.html

Edited to add: OMO Mia is such a cutie! I'm sure, given time, we can find you a suitably white or at least stag-themed dog bed ;)
  • £159! And I thought £27 on the qvc Yankee candle special was extravagant! Hopefully they'll end up in the sale in January at a more reasonable price

Wow, that's expensive tea! I know they give samples when you buy in the shop. Usually a couple of envelopes of fruit tea in your bag (worth 20p each, roughly) but I'm not aware of any other offers. Maybe ring them up and say how much you enjoyed it and is there something similar? They are so nice in that shop. I went there recently and asked about an orange and cinnamon tea that they sold. I just wanted a bag to try (to see if it tased Christmassy enough!) but she said because its from the international range, they don't sell them individually. But she went and got me a couple of bags from the back anyway (for free!) and told me its also nice in hot chocolate. She said they were doing Christmas ranges soon (probably about now) and I should come back then. Will have to pop back soon to see what new stuff they have.

    Edited to add-FOUND A CODE!!! http://www.myvouchercodes.co.uk/twinings#BiJbd7XGoGE:1
    And use cashbacks sites, obviously...
