Has anyone seen the giant paper gift bags anywhere???

I want some for grandchildren and older childrens few gifts which are silly in the huge plastic sacks.. the ones I had last year were about 2ftx3ft but I cannot for the life of me remember where from... I need 8 I think.. PLEASE!

I *think* they had them in B&M today. Not certain on size, though. They looked big. Maybe card factory too?
I'm ashamed to admit this on here, but after all of the talk of Christmas films I have to admit that I've never seen It's A Wonderful Life! I am determined to rectify that this year, i'm sure it'll be on the TV at some point...

I have a quick question, i'm going to make some nice sausage rolls for Christmas and wanted to do them in advance and freeze them, how far in advance do you think it's ok to do it?

Nor had my auntie until last Christmas (she's in her 50s) when I had a film night with her. She really enjoyed it.
I'm in Dorset. Thanks. I'm hoping I will be able to get some this year and I will stock up, lol.

Nowhere near me, sadly. I can post some to you if needed, though. Assuming they are doing them in poundland this year, that is!

Other not-so-scary Halloween movies for us scaredy cats...
    The Witches of Eastwick
    The Craft
    Ghost
    Practical Magic
Scary movie (more comedy than horror!)
Scream films (this is pretty much my limit)
    Nightmare before Christmas
    Shaun of the dead
    Sleepy hollow
    Little shop of horrors
    Edwards scissorhands

    OMO I love the cushions

    bloomingtasty love the new name

trwndyjenny sorry to hear you are having such a tough time at work. My DH had been off since February and handed his notice in to leave at the end of August. He is on supply. so far he hasn't had alot of work but people say September/October are quiet months and work does seem to be picking up. He is so much happier. he met a few old colleagues yesterday on the strike rally and there was so much talk of performance management plans and capability. some of them have been teaching 30 years:eek: it really is shocking. take care and look after yourself

freespirit thank you for the nigella christmas muffin recipe. I am going to give them a go this year. the biscotti sound good so so maybe I will try them too

feisty good luck for your launch tomorrow. if I was closer I would pop in...will have to wait till the summer though

ruth honey thanks for the book people free delivery info. I have ordered the Hugh Fearnly Whittingstall fruit book for DH

snugglebunny I haven't been on VO for so long I hadn't realised they had put the voucher up to £15:(

I have to work tomorrow morning, thought it was a good idea when I was asked weeks ago. still it's extra money. so I am off to prepare and the off to bed.

TrendyJenny am so sorry to hear that honey, thats awful! are you able to sleep on it and think over what you are going to do over the weekend? hardly your fault as you were off poorly! *slaps them all and sends you hugs* xxxxx

Re snowglobes I got the Bethlehem Lights Santa and Snowman ones from QVC, they are led colour changing and have tiny fan inside them (silent) which blows the glitter around inside, they are amazing, the detail is fantastic and they look and feel like glass even though they are some kind of resin, they are so beautiful and quite mesmerising - they had them in the recent Christmas show and they sold out but then had them back in. think they still have them now.

Welcome, welcome, welcome to SCFC, Boredjellybean and Bambiebell you'll love it here :) Look forward to hearing all your Christmas planning and share the excitement xxx
Crowdpleaser aaarrrgghh no estate agents! Sending positive vibes your way, the hanging about is awful. You'll have such fun with the wii, DS bought one on gumtree whilst we were at his, spur of the moment purchase, we all had such a giggle young and old :) Well done on your amazon voucher too xxx
Fluffysox bless you my lovely you are already :) your LO sounds such good company. I remember feeling incredibly protective of DS when DD was born, constantly making sure he wasn't being overlooked, think it must've been a strong maternal instinct kicking in :) Mine like Crowdpleaser were both prem babies so have no experience of this last bit pregnancy although my BFF was constantly asked "Have you not had that baby yet?" Drove her crackers! Still feet up and enjoy :) xxx
Alja you are doing so well now :) well done. Busy day tomorrow :) xxx
Freespirit how nice for DS to have been appreciated by DD boss, I really wish they could find a job for him too. They do seem to be a good company to work for :) Go you, festive baking you are on a roll. Well done xxx
Money Maker thank you for the tip :) x
Flowfy You are so busy be kind to yourself, like my sister from another mister Freespirit says we are all so guilty of this. Glad you've decided to save some of the ideas for next year :) Or if you are me the year after or possible the one after that :) haha. You made me chuckle about the vodka :) xxx
Katiebee now that your BF has all that space you could pick up a few bit :) haha x
Mrsinvisible How did you get on at Dunelm? You are nearly there now pressie wise aren't you? Is your trip with the "wrinkles" a turkey and tinsel trip? Ha can't believe you'll be away for DGDs birthday :( he's gonna miss you (almost as much as you'll miss him!) Did you sort anything out with DS and his flat ? xxx
Always after a bargain I've often thought about you throughout the year :) Yours and DH stockings will be fab with a £50 limit won't they. Teenagers gifts I agree are tricky for a few years. Saving for a new house, didn't you move this time last year and decorate pretty quick to be ready for Christmas ? Or am I confused? Hope DH is home for Christmas as isn't whisked off. Have you seen the bits in lakeland to do Dr Who cup cakes, thought they looked amazing, think its was you and our moneysavingmumofone LO who were keen xxx
Cherry24 have you thought about doing pots of gold for your unexpected/maybe presents? A token gift x
BloomingTasty I love it :) xxx
Aliaslotte I'm sadly banned form looking at wrapping paper, ribbons, bows and indeed any form of stationary especially note books especially Paperchase ! X
Justb you are so right, the glossing is dragging on and on and on! There is however light at the end of the tunnel. I can possibly put my wallpaper up on Monday woo hoo. I can't wait to see it up. Then plan the accessories :) xxx
Pixtotts firstly apologies I've been spelling your name wrong all this time :( hopeless I am. Oh that sounds like a good day out with you friend, start saving these fairs are very tempting :) Enjoy X
Marco dog how are you feeling now? There's a lot of yuk about at the moment, we've all had a variety of ailments too :( xxx
Snugglebunny a good few years ago I worked Christmas Eve in a craft store. I dreaded it but it was brilliant, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Glad work is going well for you xxx
Mrs M such modestly, smoke and mirrors my eye that stocking is going to be a work of art when it's finished. Who is it for? ( ignore me if that too nosey- basically I am toooo nosey ha) xxx
Msgigglewick ha I think that initially sorting is the hardest. Hope you and yours are well and recovered from the yuk :) xxx
Ruth_honey what did I start? So sorry I just looked at the pictures and took no notice of the sentiment ha. Me all over :) I've ordered Hocus Pocus for Halloween xxx
Linky I just love your room, clutter free and always so blooming tidy :) Hope you are feeling better now, there is a lot of yuk about! Did you explain the irony to your cousin about you running our Christmas thread? xxx
Nic exactl, enjoy what's left of your hols, you'll manage cos we always do :) Good luck with the job applications. Is it too late to order a Christmas sign? X
Picnmix oh no I thought you'd be my friend on the naughty step but no DH to the rescue. I'm glad you've made a good start obviously, just a little green eyed :) xxx
Murie we've missed you, where've you been? Now that's just greedy two hearing aids, you'll be able to hear us thinking ! Seriously how are you doing with them, I believe they do take some getting used to but are worth it :) How did DD do on her shopping spree, wasn't it very mse of her to find a voucher? Go girl. There are a few of us on here also doing slimming world, we can cheer each other on Msgigglewick is our slimmer of the year, our resident guru :) Good luck with it. And don't blooming lurk, post you might be able to hear us thinking but I'm having a little trouble hearing your thought :) xxx
Cupofchai you've ages yet, Fingerscrossed it's here in plenty of time. I'm not sure on the rules regarding import duty but Im sure somebody will know :) xxx
Morgy thank you for the tesco craft things tip off, I've put it on my list for next week :) x
Princess I wish I'd have known Gain and Stacey were on, I love that Christmas special, particularly the singing :) I totally agree with you and Bunbun they did drag the water scenes out but I was still glued! X
Debndot thank you for the tip off about the 3-4-2 baking things at tesco, must pick up some supplies, didn't get any of the cheap mincemeat, every time I saw it posted it was still full price at my store so will neeeeeed that, particularly now :) Strictly for home use only of course xxx
