    choccymoose The secret to skittles is to separate the colours ;) ... we made a load at uni 1 big bag of skittles... and 2 small... maybe...
    different bottle for each colour, or you get mud coloured ick,
    and strain out all the bits, super yummy!
    red and orange and blue were my favourites - we made them when they were doing the special limited edition blue skittles... useless I know sorry lol.

    vodka gummy bears are good too ;)
    x
    Did red ones and a small purple one just found them wierd lol

    Oh I know theres a couple of Milton Keynes girls here, apparently Frosts at Woburn xmas stuff is all out and its good this year. xxxx

    Thanks Crowdpleaser - I'm in Woburn Sands and they were putting their stuff out last time I popped in so I'll have to go back now. It'll give B&M a rest anyway, I think I've become a bit of a stalker in there :D
    Can anyone tell me if Primani has any fluffy socks out yet?

    Craftymummy, I don't know about Primarni but I bought some very nice fluffy socks in Poundland this week - not Christmas designs but pink and spots or stripes.

    Well, I've had a very sicky headache for the past couple of days - doesn't feel like a migraine but doesn't respond to normal painkillers either. As a result have just had 9 pages to catch on so have completely forgotten who has done what. I know some new Christmas Cookies have joined so welcome to all and also hugs to any that need them.

    Headache still in the background so going to sign off again now but just wanted to say that DD2 and DGD (age 4) are going to be with us on Christmas Eve so doing a CE hamper for DGD - have got Once Upon a Christmas for the film, plus fluffy slippers, one of those blanket things with sleeves in (£2.99 in kids size - B&M of course), a cup and plate to leave mince pies and milk for the main man, plus a child size mug filled with chocolate coins and candy canes. Still need to get pyjamas but have chickened out of reindeer food - we'll do carrots instead I think. DGD's Christmas elf (Rosie Flower) arrives on 1st December and goes home to the north pole on Christmas Eve because Santa needs all hands on deck so I thought the CE hamper could be a leaving pressie from her. Just need to orchestrate it being left on the doorstep. Can't wait - having a little one to do things for is so lovely, it's ages since DD1 and DD2 were at that stage (although they still believe of course, as do I :D).

    Happy Christmas shopping one and all!
    It's the most wonderful timeof the year :
  • I spent a little while looking at bath-related hamper ideas... I think I will have to keep my eyes peeled to see if I can bag some bargains, which makes me glad I have had the idea now - when there is still so much time to shop... Decided having lots of possibilities was for the best, though I know I won't be able to afford them all and stay within a reasonable price of about £30-£35. :)

    [** = a must lol]

    ** Lush bathbomb [or two - he adores the Dragon's Egg one, so I might watch out for some codes but even if I can't find any, I don't mind paying the normal price, which is about £3.50].
    ** Flannel, sponge and/or some sort of loofah.
    ** A novelty rubber duck - either the disco duck mentioned, a colour changing duck [reacts to the water temperature] or one of the ducks designed to look like something else [would opt for a 'biker' duck - him being a biker]. Or the floating rubber duck FM radio.
    * A moisturiser or post-bath based product, eg, a muscle rub.
    * Shampoo.
    * Bath pillow/cushion.
    * Bath robe.
    * Some sort of humourous book to read in the bath.
    * A humourous "soap on a rope".
    * A bath game - perhaps a novelty swimming toy or a shooting game that you set up on the edge of the bath [I recall seeing such things in Matalan last year].
    * CD of relaxing music.
    * Shower gel for all those days where he just won't let himself make time for a bath lol.
    * Something to drink in the bath - was thinking of a hot chocolate stirrer, or a bottle of his favourite strawberry beer.
    * Possibly a sweet treat too [he has a major sweet tooth] - either skittles [his favourite sweet] or a selector-sized slab from Hotel Chocolat.

    I like the idea I saw on here of wrapping things individually [perhaps in tissue paper rather than full blown wrapping paper] and adding little handwritten notes eluding to what might be inside. Could be Alice In Wonderland style "drink me" "listen to me" etc maybe.

    I think I've found my nice thoughts project for a while anyway. :D

    Been looking at the M&S Christmas stuff, the doodle wrapping paper has got me thinking... I might try buying a roll of brown paper and loads of silver pens and make my own doodle wrapping paper, if I start now I might get enough done... x
    I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
