I'm pleased it makes you happy, I'm feeling very relaxed now that it's all out.

Ameyturtle, what would you recommend for two children ages 1 & 7, they had the wand last year. It's for the xmas eve hamper so nothing glittery please was hoping for something relaxing perhaps! Hope you're feeling a bit better?

I went to home bargains today and bought a pack of 4 baubles which you put a photo in. Last year we got photo snow globes for the kids' grandparents and great grandparents so this will a nice personalised gift alternative this year. It was only £3:99 for the 4 so £1 each isn't bad!

Was looking at these in boots but £8 for 4 so thanks will try HB!

What is the M&S snow globe biscuit tin like ?
I didn't go in there yesterday and our local one is very small, so doesn't stock everything. Or when it does we get it later than the big stores.

Like a giant snowglobe lol. Its navy blue, has a christmas scene on the front and the front is the "snow golbe" that you can shake if you wanted. £10 but hoping they will do half price like they did with the musical christmas tree last year :D
WEECLICK thankyou for that its nice to come from someone who has been there, she has decided tonight to go for Mexico to see Chichen Itza and be there for the day of the dead so i dont have to worry for another year about egypt :)
Wise choice! Hopefully by next year the troubles will be long gone!

Ruth_honey was going to thank you, the nativity DVD is on my amazon wish list too and I'd never heard of the blockbusters market place but then read your order had been cancelled agh hate that :( x

It's still showing on there that you can buy it, so maybe they will be getting more in? I might try ordering again.
    Theres a code for £5 off a £15 spend, but it's doesn't work with other offers(eg, 4 for £10 DVDs)
Blu ray version is oos now. There are other Christmas films on the site. Arthur Christmas was one if anyone is after that.

Dirtyknees hiya, welcome and thank you for the coffee tip, I'm not very adventurous but am very tempted to give that a try? Well I like a ginger nut dipped in coffee so can't think why I'd not like it x

My grandma used to hate coffee, but years ago she was in town when Starbucks were giving out free samples of gingerbread lattes in the street. For some reason she thought it was ice cream (melted in a cup???) and loved it. She wouldn't have it when I told her it was coffee! :rotfl:

    Hi all

    Welcome to delurkers.

Had a bit of a bad week, work has been awful, actually ended up in the toilets at one point crying. People are just pigs sometimes!

DD has had a bad week at school she is sitting next to a bossy and attitude filled girl, DD is so sweet and is finding this quite hard to deal with. I am going to have a chat with the teacher next week as this girl is taking control when doing pair work, so DD basically doing nothing apart from sitting there being shouted at.

Not much on the Xmas front, however did manage a very quick pop into primarni and picked up two of the reindeer cushions, previously pictured on here, and a couple of chrissmassy jumpers for my girls, I am going to get the elf to bring them on 1st December, they are grey with cute penguins on the front.

    Hugs to all x
  • Hi everyone,
Lurker alert... love reading everyones posts and links every night when my gorgeous babies are sleeping.
I was wondering if anyone had some advice.
I have a large L shaped hall way, completely bare. It is approx 1.5m wide and the longest part is prob 6/7 long.
I would LOVE to decorate it, being in a flat it is how we access all rooms including coming in the front door.

After a quick google I found this, not sure of the colours but I like the idea http://roomenvy.co.uk/tag/how-to-decorate-hallway-for-christmas/

How would I hang the lights? also I noticed a lot of icicles say outdoor use only?

    Thanks for reading

    Jo

The Christmas Penguin is my favourite, it's so gorgeous! I like the look of Let The Good Times Roll too, and I always have to have a Christmas Eve bubble bar for... well, Christmas Eve! :D

I looove those icicle lights all over the ceiling.
I have one set of icicle lights I use indoors on our small white tree. You just dump them on, and the tree is covered in lights in one second flat!

Might have to seriously consider getting more for the hall ceiling though...
