Baby boo the mags I bought were good housekeeping, which has lovely recipes for all sorts of things, a timing planner decs etc, this is my fav one and I'll be trying lots of the recipes and the other was christmas heaven which again has lots of recipes and bits but not as much as the first.
Snugglebunny have a lovely relaxing day off and hope things are sorted at work after the weekend and you can get on without any troubles x

Heya, how much was the good housekeeping christmas one - thinking of getting this! Is it a christmas special as opposed to the normal monthly edition?
    Thanks

arrgh flippin internet connection is driving me nuts will be glad when it goes hopefully the new one will be better though could hardly be worse it keeps cutting out and I lose my posts  been over a wk now and its still not fixed

weeclick I'm waiting on the snowglobe one too refuse to pay full price and even 3 for 2 its expensive for what you get even if it looks good. last yr they did most of the £10ish tins 1/2 price so hoping they will again the shortbread was on offer today so looking likely I do love the novelty xmas tins :D

nearly brought the owl throw today its really lovely but couldn't decide as would prefer something more xmassy and it doesn't go with anything else I've got so think I'll wait and see if they get any xmas ones in. some lovely kids jumpers but typically none of the ones I wanted in the size I needed def think the headless snowman one will appeal to ds and might be enough to convince him to wear it.
manged to get lots of little bits for stocking fillers, 8 mini gift bags for £1 at cardfactory

also managed to get some of the otker gold/silver food spray from 99p shop & sains had white/blue mini snowflakes & glittery gingerbread men sprinkles
this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk

I went to home bargains today and bought a pack of 4 baubles which you put a photo in. Last year we got photo snow globes for the kids' grandparents and great grandparents so this will a nice personalised gift alternative this year. It was only £3:99 for the 4 so £1 each isn't bad!

wow you have all been busy - both chatting and shopping!

thanks for all the pics and shopping tips. we don't have a primark near us which is a shame as they have some lovely/cheap things in

I too will be watching the biscuit tins in M&S. I haven't seem the snowglobe tin but like the sound of it. I bought the tree tin last year when it was half price.

OMO I love the stags heads and look forward to seeing them when they are finished

feisty I am sorry to hear the solicitor says you have no case, is it worth getting a second opinion? it is shocking that your DH can be treated like that and do nothing about it. Good luck ith your shop, if we are down in the new forest next summer I will definately come and visit.

junior j glad to hear you are home

snugglebunny enjoy your day off tomorrow. hope next week is better with your colleague after your manager has spoken to her.

flowfy your ds sounds amazing and only 14.

my DH and ds2 did a concert in Durham cathedral at the week end

nit nurse thank you for the mincepie muffin recipe

I am very excited...do any of you watch George Gently? DH and I were on our way to aldi and we drove past an old secondary school building. I saw signs on the wall and thought oh the local police must have moved into the building, then I saw DS Bacchus and thought...he's in George Gently. On the way back I looked again and saw DCI Gently. That means there must be a new series:j Last year ds1 was an extra in the final episode of the last series. linked to Christmas...there might be a Christmas episode/special
saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200
    £60 deposit paid :j £100 paid:j £40 paid:j
  • Guys. Whilst the M&S Food Brochure is out next week and On-line and Store ordering doesn't open until then too, the website has just gone live with the 2013 food :)

    Enjoy :)

    Xmas Saver!
    Evening All. :D

I'm going to get the Prima Christmas magazine tomorrow. It seems like the most crafty one of them.

debndot my stags will stay out all year. Greenleaf has been out since last December.

I popped into a charity music shop today and asked if they had any unpopular music sheets.:rotfl:
The mans face was hysterical, until I explained I wanted to tear them up and use them for decoupage.
He went out the back and got me a large bag of sheets that he said he couldn't sell due to them being photo copies. But if I would like to make a donation I could have them. So I gave them £4.80 ( all the change I had).
I now have enough sheets to cover the 3 deer heads I ordered yesterday and some trees.:D

    Xmas Saver!
What is the M&S snow globe biscuit tin like ?
I didn't go in there yesterday and our local one is very small, so doesn't stock everything. Or when it does we get it later than the big stores.
