gosh its hard to keep up with this thread!! ive done all my christmas eve bag and christmas stocking stuff for my boy and its all wrapped. ive done my mince meat and my first batch of mince pies are in the oven. will be writing cards soon. im normally organised for christmas but extra organised as could be going into hosp at any moment so need to be done so i can relax. love my sparkly new christmas magazine. cant put it down. i keep all my christmas mags so i can peep back to what ive seen and ill still buy more.
dd came to see my son yesterday but didnt say a word to me, i gave her money and toiletries and she left. she has nothing to say even though she is grossly in the wrong. we all cried when she left. its very upsetting and unsettlling. i need to stop texting her ...i cant stop saying i love you and come back. but she just ignores them all so its heartbreaking.
Oh wuvvies, I could cry for you! am sending you loads of hugs - I asked my 16 yo DD about this and she said its probably hard for her to admit she is in the wrong but she also felt it was totally wrong for her to treat you that way, she was upset for you about the dinner you had made for your DDbut sends you her love and says if it were her in your position she would hope she could make it clear that she loved her DD and that you would always be there for her, but that you will not be treated with disrespect in your own home. That is from another 16 yo DD's POV so I hope somehow that might help you a bit, personally I think you are doing everything right but I also know how incredibly painful this must be for you. Stay strong, she will come around and in the meantime if you ever want a chat we are all here supporting you, lots of love xxxxxx

thank you all for the advice re the work situation - I had a chat with my boss last night, she was very receptive and listened to everything that had happened, she is going to speak to her on Monday morning (so busy at weekends so going to leave it until she can deal with it properly as colleague isnt in until then and felt best face to face) She felt the comment about me not finishing jobs was just silly as she has never known me not finish anything, I know she wont take any nonsense from this colleague as she is a very good manager. I will however be erxpecting a knock at the door or a phone call from the colleague once shes been spoken to, as she is very in your face like that! and she lives in my road as well! But that is fine, Ive told my manager that if the colleague comes to me after shes been spoken to ive got no issue talking to her about it. Ive done so many hours since friday that Im really tired so things probably getting to me more than they would anyway - think having the day off tomorrow will be good for me before Im back on Saturday!0

TBH Cairo was a big one for me, half the reason we booked the holiday in the first place! But because of the trouble no one is flying to Cairo for now so we had no choice in the matter. Maybe she will get going one day but I personally wouldnt advise going outside of Sharm right now! As lovely a country as it is even the attitude of the locals there was a bit intimidating at times and thats with no trouble! For us it just means we brought £200 back and have the perfect excuse to return one day!Life is what you make it.0 -
busy day today lots of xmas shopping
got the stag shortbread tin from M&S as its 1/2 price they also had lots of other biscuit tins on 3 for 2 including the revolving musical tree £10 though hoping that will go to 1/2 price aswell
picked up the reindeer draught excluder from lidl not the best quality but ds would part with it they had lots of very yummy looking xmas foods so will pick up a few bits next wk
saw this stag/reindeer head on asda christmas shop http://direct.asda.com/White-Reindeer-Head/001884071,default,pd.html which I might get as thinking its more toddler friendly love the ceramic ones but don't think they'd stay on one piece for long maybe next yr
they also have some cute gingerbread man wrap http://direct.asda.com/Paper-Gift-Wrap/001884533,default,pd.html but I brought the brown paper stag print one from primarni today so will resist buying anymore
I really want the snowglobe biscuit tin but hoping between now and christmas at some point it will also be half price. Refuse to pay £10 for any biscuit tin I dont care how good it looks lolLife is what you make it.0 -

Mum told me I'm not allowed to go to big Primark and Next in city centre, despite train stations being very convenient at both ends. So went to smaller local ones by car instead. Bought some new cushions in Primark including one with two owls on. They look great on my sofa. Will try to share photo later.
Loads of lovely home stuff in Next, got vouchers on my birthday and for our wedding so will dig them out and do some internet shopping. DS loved a hoody with a monkey on it but they didn't have his size. Might get it for him as part of his Christmas present. Too nice to spoil him with without a reason2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013
