Have a good Sunday everyone only 12 Sundays left until christmas :-) x
When it's said like that it really doesn't sound long at all!
I managed to complete all of last week's tasks...got my coat, wrote a list of presents to get and got a good haul of presents!
I didn't manage to get much today, but in Mr T's I did pick up two bars of the winter wonderland choc, there wasn't any milk choc oranges left..I also got some sweet & salted popcorn (my favourite!), and the Christmas magazine!
I'm currently in my room burning a black cherry yankee candle tart in the middle of shifting my summer wardrobe out of the wardrobe ready to unpack my winter clothes from the drawer and swap them over
My tasks for this week are...
To look on Pinterest and get some ideas of how to theme my Christmas party that I'm holding for a couple of friends. I'm thinking of making it really feel like a warm cosy Christmas grotto
Take a proper look at what I've already bought and see what I need to buy and see what I've bought enough of already. Don't want to go overboard this year, so need to carefully think out the next lot of pressies!
Hope you're all having a lovely day x0 -
Also meant to say I would love to do something really fantastic with the kids on christmas eve but no idea what to do xx
We have done bowling previous years but now my kids will be 11 and 3 1/2 so would love to do something really good and very chrsitmassy.
what does everybody else do?
oh and everybody who has kirsties christmas crafts book is it worth a purchase?
omo i purchase MDF products to christmas and beautify so if you want a link to one of my suppliers who does trees give me a shout xx they look lovely painted and glitter varnished x
Yes please, that would be great.
I'm a bit worried I'm going end up with a Forrest of Cones. :rotfl:0 -

No advent boxes in Disney store yesterday and I'm not a fan of on line shopping. My friend highly recommended the slushy maker cup she says you put the cup in the freezer for so many hours then pour your drink in squeeze it snd it turns into a slushie.
It was going to be a present from smartie elfkins but at £13 I think it can wait until Christmas.
Wuvvie I was horrid to my mum at that age I just couldn't see her point and thought her whole purpose in life was to ruin mine just be consistent as if she gave an inch I'd push more sorry not much help but it does come good in the end.family mean more to me than money it's call a life0 -

When you meet the bank ask them to work out how much the charges would be per month for using the overdraft. I used to work for H*BC bank and know that they can work out all charges so you can make a more informed decision. Im not normally an advocate for credit cards but have you though about 1 or maybe 2 interest free credit cards ? This way you can use the money and pay back with no/minimal charges? (sorry if you have already thought of this)
Please don't apologise - I really appreciate the input from someone who knows the technical sideThe business has to be paid for by cash or cheque, so unless I can get a good rate on a money transfer, most credit cards are out
I just did some additional sums with the Natwest credit card and have figured that a balance transfer of £1500 spread over 11 months will work out at £150.67 interest and fees - so would have greater flexibility to pay more some months and perhaps less others
I'm a bit worried though as despite having a perfect credit score, I got turned down for a virgin money credit card last week

Hi all, we made it up to Scotland ok, it's wonderful up here - we do love it. I realised a while ago that 2 years ago today we got engaged in Scotland. We've been for a lovely walk this morning, i'm just having a nice cup of tea and catching up whilst hubby is snoozing next to me.
Junior you are doing so amazingly well and you are so brave. I am in awe as I just cannot imagine what you are going through and yet your posts are always upbeat. Hang in there and pop in and have a natter when you can.
Crowdpleaser (I think it was you - sorry if i'm wrong) but my monthly evil is here too which isn't fun - I disgraced myself on Friday night as it made me so poorly that I had to ask DH to pull over so I could be sick at the side of the road. It was a night so I thought no-one would see me but every time I was sick a string of cars came past!!
Oh dear normally I write comments down but I haven't got a pen and paper here so was trying to just remember but now I've forgotten!
OMO I do love going on Pinterest but I do find I pin a lot of things but never seem to go back to make/do the things I've pinned!!:p0 -
Happy Birthday Spendless and Whitesatin for the other day.
Junior tinsel would make it look very festive lol. When my brother had a HALO unit on he got tinsel and battery operated lights for Christmas so medical equipment so doesn't have to be boring.
Did some Xmas shopping yesterday. Went in to Boots, they had tons on the 3 for 2. Grans birthday is in December so we took advantage of the offer on the John Frieda hairspray and got 6 bottles. Also we got 5 bottles of Sanex shower gels from savers. Three different poundlands and I still haven't seen the Costa Coffee lol. Also the Claire's five for £5 sale was good. Got myself two Hello Kitty note books for my science classes and mum found three bits for my sister so we put in together. And I still forgot the hair bands I went in for, again!
Thanks for the anniversary gift ideas, my brain is starting working now and I may rope Gran in to helping. She has tons of photos and memories of when they started dating so that is a possibility. Last year I got them a second slow cooker they had been looking at on offer, they use it a lot.“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.”

Thats a great saving! somehow the post got quoted as OMO saying it haha x Sometimes credit scoring works in a funny old way. I think the more credit people have got/using the more people will lend! It frightens lenders when you have no debt! Also there are main 2 credit search companies so sometimes that makes a difference too.
You are doing the best thing and working everything out.
Good luck with everything and Im sooooo excited for you x:T0
