I just don't understand people who don't even want to smile back at you it just baffles me?! I would never knowingly exclude someone or make them feel bad. Thank you for making me feel I'm not alone anyway Xxx
I just don't get that either! The world would be a much nicer place if we all smiled at least a littlewhenever I'm in my group of friends and a new person sits with us, whether it's a friend of friend or a new boyfriend of one of my friends, I always go out of my way to include that person and make sure they don't feel the odd one out.
That's just the nice normal thing to do, isn't it!? Well, it should be! Haha!
Just be nice to everyone, but if someone obviously doesn't want to give you the time of day, just let it go. It's their loss for being so miserable and quite frankly...weird!0 -

Exactly! If only everyone thought like that, the world would be a much nicer place!Xx

thank you for the update on lush, havent been in town for ages - but am very tempted to pop in just for lush, and now youve confirmed rose jam is vegan ill definately try DD2 on that as she gets snowfairy from other sources as well as her stocking
ive posted a few photo in the craft makes thread but these are my latest attempt. ive raided my old button tin and unearthed some fabric ive had knocking about for years (could almost be vintage;)) and sewn silky linings in them all -some could even actually be silk as its creased up and feels different to the poly fabric. I have interfaced the fabric to give them body. havent got a clue what to ask as they've only cost me time. last year i priced everything at a couple of quid, first couple of people bought loads and i got left with bits that ardly drew anyone to the stall. a teacher later told me other traders had stashed stuff theyd bought off me under their stalls and said theyd be selling it on at other fayres. all money goes to the schools heads challenge fund that benefits the kids.
apart from hand knitted flower brooches im doing those in memory of my niece who died at 10 months her mum wants to make a memorial garden to all children who were taken too soon so the money from them is going to her.
sorry waffling:o
does anyone have an opinion on a fair price for a bag like this? i really wont be offended if you say they look rubbish and not worth much, id sooner let them go cheap and think of something else as ive got till end of nov to get stuff ready. ive made 7 but the others still need sideseams hand sewing inside and out.
christmas news
our bedroom looks like santas grotto:o heard dh trip over a pile of pressies early this morning so need to tidy it today. its that stash i unearthed yesterday
WOW - The best rule of thumb is to figure out how long they took to make and then times that by minimum wage - I would personally be happy to pay a fair price for something handmade and unique - plus you can sell it as limited edition as it's doubtful you'll ever find the fabric againThank you mrs m Xx I do feel much better today. I think it was just I find the other parents at DS school quite unfriendly and cliquey and another morning of no one even smiling at me or acknowledging me just got to meDS seems happy and has made friends which is the most important thing, I just feel like I'm transported back to high school every time I drop him off! You'd think with it being a church school it wouldn't be like that lol
You poor thing - as others have said though, you are better off without them x
Hi Everybody I'm afraid I couldn't post yesterday my health dictates what I can and can't do on a daily basis.I did read along I just didn't have the
Coordination to post.mrsHayes so sorry the school playground makes you feel like that, dare I say I did try to participate on another forum on this site and it was clique, nobody responded to my posts and I felt very excluded and that's on the internet!! Well I'm here now and although I'm
Unable to post as often as I would like I will be reading along with you all.
I am enjoying all the planing and excitement for all your children, my two
are grown up now but I still put a great deal of effort in to Christmas
it's such a lovely time, this is such a lovely forum and you all have made me welcome. Boo x
We like to welcome everyone and spread Christmas cheer - no matter what time of the year it is :rotfl:2024 Challenges

Afternoon everyone
There's so much to read so hugs to everyone who needs them
I've not yet experienced the playground clique but I've no doubt I shall be on the outskirts of it come next year. From what I've experienced so far parents aren't that keen on mixing their child with a disabled child *insert rolling eyes here*. You never know, you might catch it
No Christmas shopping today BUT I have won a HTC Windows Phonenot sure whether I'll use it or my OH, but whoever does use it it'll be considered an early Christmas present :money: is that a bit cheap of me :rotfl:
My toddler has just upended his sandwich crumbs onto the carpet so I'm off to hoover!
I truly hope this isn't the case - Thomas is such a cutie, I bet he will have all the Mothers fussing over how adorable he is
Well a bit of an uneventful day in the feisty household - feeling rather tired, so am just taking it a bit easy today.2024 Challenges

I really feel for you. It must be a very difficult time for you and your family.
I would still get her a present. The last thing you want is for her to feel unwanted. If you get her nothing she will throw it back in your face one day. If she doesn't collect it, it will be her choice. By getting her a present you are letting her know the door is always open. xx0
