  • Haven't caught up yet lol, miss a few days and you miss loads.

OMO that is great about your son giving you the money.

My sister is bought for. She has socks, the moshi monster mini top trumps thing from poundland and a moshi monster gloop (I think thats the right word for it) and book with it from eBay.

Brother has a book for his warhammer stuff Space Marines Codex I think its called that I managed to get on eBay and some socks because he always wants socks for Christmas. He has a few pounds left in his budget so I am thinking underwear (another thing he always wants)

Dad is having a coffee hamper. I have some various coffee bits from poundland, though it says on their websites about small bags of costa coffee though I can't find them!

Mum I have no clue for yet. The budget is £10 for each of them so I am having to be canny lol.

Gran I am putting money in for a food hamper mum is making for her. Again £10.

In November it is mum and dad's 23rd anniversary. They have done so much for me and my brother and sister. How they have found the strength and patience I do not know but I can only hope I can be as good as parents as they are when I have my own. No budget for that yet but I want to do something special as a thank you. No cooking suggestions, me and cooking aren't friends lol

  • Actually been thinking about this clique thing a lil more while making dinner.. two days ago i was called back after the other children were sent home. thought eek what has libbie done lol but it wasn't her. she had been cornered in the toilets by a lil girl and either bitten or pinched very hard leaving a mark on her arm... apparently the girl was told off and a letter sent home... Wind forward to this morning. the mum of this little girl was asking questions about a letter she had got from the dr's about the new flu immunisation.. the teacher instantly asked me as she knows my libbie is having it next week.. This mum just totally looked through me and just asked the teacher the same questions so the teacher gave the answer not me! it did make me chuckle that this mum has taken it in her way to hold a grunge with me :S but i just want to pat her on the head and say there there lol. Didn't occur to me until the clique thing was in my mind that she was the noisest mother in the playground! lol

Honestly you can't believe some people are parents when they are still behaving as if they are in school themselves!

My OH doesn't play the board game (luckily as you say it is expensive!) but he reads/listens to the books and plays the PC games.

My brother has got in to the board game stuff. Some figures I have seen looked great, until after hinting apparently they aren't the "right" ones lol. Drives me mental lol

  • trouble with warhammer is that they change the rules every couple of years so that you need new codexes etc. DH is really getting into the books so must look out for some of those. occasionally they turn up in charity shops

Alja I've not seen Christmas stockings in the £shop yet but they were good last year. HB and £stretcher had decent ones in last year too, the thing with stockings is you collect them back in and refill year after year so if you do spend a few pounds its ok :) xxx

Very true! I can definitely use them again :)

Well, I'm back from my "day off work Christmas shopping trip" my feet are killing me and I'm quite knackered, but very pleased with my purchases!

I found the exact winter coat I wanted and bought that. I got it from BH$ and had a £10 off voucher I'd received a few weeks ago, so that was a nice chunk off :)

For my mum I grabbed a few bits from the b*dy shop - Shea Shower Cream, Cocoa Butter Shower Cream, Shea EDT, Shea Soap and a matching/similar colour shower puff. All this came to £20.50, but as I have the o2 priority moments app on my phone I was able to get £10 off so it all came to £10.50 :)

I also got my mum a nightshirt from BHS which was half price - £4.75 anddd...B*ots had their Christmas presents out!!! Yay! The odd thing wasn't in stock yet (including one thing I wanted to get my dad today! grr!) but I picked up the No.7 Eye Appeal palette for her, which has the type of shades she likes to use :)

For my dad I picked up some socks from D*benhams, they were in the sale. One pack was £5.50 and one £7.75 (I think?) - they're the fresh feet type socks that he likes and I usually end up having to get them at full price (about £10/£12 a pack), so with them being in the sale I thought I'd pick up two packs for him :)

I also go him the B*lldog grooming kit washbag from B*ots along with the B*tanics face care regime set. (These two I got on the 3 for 2 offer with my mum's eye palette).

Very pleased to have so much ready for Christmas now! I shall have to take a look at everything I have and see what I don't need to buy any more of and plan what I'd like to get next :)

Oh and on the topic of lush...I treated myself to the lush butterball today, I will be stashing it away as a Christmas treat!
  • Well, miss a day and you have loads of reading to catch up on! Car is fixed, bank account considerably lighter, typical!

Missed out on the bike in the last 10 minutes of the auction. On the upside a friend of mine is getting her son a new bike for christmas and has asked if Harrison would like his old one so going to speak with Harrison as its a BMX and he wanted a mountain bike!

Went to hb today, just starting to put christmas stuff out, picked up an elastic band powered airplane, juggling balls and 2 add on things for app games, they were 99p not sure what they do, but will investigate ::rotfl:

Love reading all the stuff going on, cant stand cliques in the playgrounds makes me laugh have been ignored for 6 years plus, but once some of them realised that I and my kids were realy good friends with a number of the teachers, holidaying together etc some of them tried to include me, I was having none of it. I have few friends but thats my choice, the ones I have are loyal true friends who would do anything for me and vice versa, some I see daily others less often and one lives in canada now but we are there for each other as much as we can be.

    sorry...mega catch up time!

I am sorry to hear all the playground clique stories. My two are now in years 8 and 10 so although i still do the school run there is no more staning in the playground. I was never part of the 'in' crowd at both the infant and junior schools, there were a couple of parents I would stand with but if they weren't there I would stand on my own.

    mrs hayes well done:T

sequeena well done on your win! i would give it as an early christmas present too. your son is adorable and i am sure he will make some lovely friends.

mrs moneypenny your cranberry and white chocolate cookies sound yummy. your bags are lovely

snugglebunny hope your back feels better soon

baby boo I had exactly the same experience on that forum.

crowdpleaser wow that lighthouse looks fantastic. great news about your house sale, hope it all goes smoothly for you

amey fingers crossed for the supervisors job

chrissy hope you had a good time mooching round ikea and B&M

nanamia hope you get your LR finished soon. It will look amazing when it is done

freesprit hope you manage to get an extra ticket for ds' graduation. I think most places send 2 tickets to keep things fair but have surplus tickets and people also return some. hope your ds is feeling better, sorry he missed his day's work

feisty I do that too with the boots catalogue and when i was in lakeland the other day was looking to see what I could get in the sale. I have ordered online in the boots sale when there were things I really wanted but the last couple of years there hasn't been anything I especially wanted and i felt so rough with the lack of sleep that I have just gone instore

our dog and cat are OK at the vets although the cat wails all the way there and back. However...DH decided to take the dog to church with him on Wednesday. he was well behaved and got loads of attention until he weed on a table a the back of the church (the dog not DH!). DH said noone minded apart from the vicar who was not impressed and DH who was so embarressed. I don't think he will take the dog again:rotfl:
