Went to co op yesterday to pick up some £1 chocolate oranges. Still had christmas wishes and winter wonderland bars for £1.
Also got 100g boxes of McVities mini gingerbread men and mini digestive chocolate shapes, both half coated in chocolate for £1. Thought they'd do for emergencies.
Also got Glade 2in1 limited edition candle in Shimmering Woods/Spiced Apple down from £7:eek: to £3 in Asda. It's two colours and I love the smell although I haven't started burning it yet.
Strangely enough, I'm just off to take my cat to the vets for her jabs. She just yowls all the way in the car and gives me reproachful looks.

Picked up a leaflet in Sainsbury's yesterday for Llangollen Railway Santa Specials. This is where we would go for Days out with Thomas too (on through October) as its about an hour away. DS (age 2) is very excited. And the steam train looks fab. I've got Polar Express for December so hopefully we can fit this in
Also a friend of mine shared a link on fb to a Winter Wonderland at Chester Racecourse if anyone is interested. With Santa parade etc. But its the first time they've done it so no pics or reviews yet.2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013

Thank you mrs m Xx I do feel much better today. I think it was just I find the other parents at DS school quite unfriendly and cliquey and another morning of no one even smiling at me or acknowledging me just got to meDS seems happy and has made friends which is the most important thing, I just feel like I'm transported back to high school every time I drop him off! You'd think with it being a church school it wouldn't be like that lol

i was never 'in' with the playground clique, so i know exactly how you feel. its their loss - you are a much nicer person and deserve better friends than them. Tell yourself that next time it bothers you and have a secret smileSPC~12 ot 124

mrshayes - rest assured you are not alone, not as it may help. my children's primary was like that, also a church school. there will be the odd other 'floater' that you may or may not link up with. I linked up with one when I took my daughter but when I took my son, I didn't link up at all. after about 3 years though, when I was waiting near a group one evening, I heard one saying to one of the others...'what have you done to your hair, you need lots more product on it' she said this in a very loud voice and I decided I had had a close escape.
having said that, my children loved their primary and came out of it with excellent results. I am glad that all that 'loneliness' is over though. I couldn 't wait for my son to leave year 6. all in all i went every day for 11 years, between the 2 children. I have cried too. so just remember, it isn't nice, but it is very common. just think knickers to them.
my children also go (went) to a church senior school. this is about 5 miles away and the 'clique' went to the local school. this actually is a little better than the primary, even though there is little contact, people seem to speak more at parents evenings/concerts/school communions etc. I am in the mind now though, that I would rather people not speak. I get home quicker then...lol.

Mrs Hayes- glad you are feeling brighter today-don't let them get you down at the school gates- I always found primary school to be very 'cliquey'. Its their loss that they don't have you to chat to-not yours;)
Nanamia- sorry if I made you cry- OMO did it to me:o Hope your decorating goes well.
No sign of the chickens or peacocks as yet (I know cus I stood on stepladder in bathroom to look out of window into next doors garden:o. Its 2 gardens knocked into one cus its the corner house in a row of terraced houses-pretty large but hopefully not large enough for him to keep them long term when they do eventually turn up. Fingers crossed.lovin' this site!

Mrs M and Flowfly and Murie - thank you all for your kind words. I'm glad I'm not the only one (although not glad that you havebeen through it, but you know what I mean)
It is a good school in terms of opportunities for DS and academically and I'm glad he seems happy so I will just suck it up and hopefully things might improve! Especially since DS2 will be going there in 3 years so I've got about 10 more years of going there to go!!
I just don't understand people who don't even want to smile back at you it just baffles me?! I would never knowingly exclude someone or make them feel bad. Thank you for making me feel I'm not alone anyway XxxDS 1 born 12/02/2009DS 2 born 30/01/2012Married 07/07/07xx Love my boys xx0 -
Hi guys, just spent an age catching up as best I can.
Murie - all I can say is Peacocks???????
Crowdpleaser - fingers crossed with the sale, such an exciting time, hopefully you will be in by Xmas and then can have a ball in Jan sales.
Fiesty - Just like you I go through the catalogue looking for things to buy in the sale, but sadly never really manage it, and end up with the dreggs after the place has been cleared out. I still have a Fearne Hat Box from 2 years ago ontop of my wardrobe!
Nicolax - I've already booked off the 3rd Weds in Jan to get to Boots. It'll just be my luck they do it on a diff week.
Nanamia - can't wait to see the end results of the decorating x
OMO have decided this weeks task may have to change as am going to go shopping whilst kiddies are at school tomorrow, so cupbaord cleaning can wait
Take care x0
