Feisty - Hope things pick up for you soon.
Juniorj - sending you big get well soon vibes, I hope your home and well soon
Ellie9ellie - you can sometimes get yankee bargains on eBay, or Clintons do a deal of the month with I think 25% off a specific scent. I often look out for these in the run up to Christmas
Free spirit - I do hope things are looking better this morning, and that the household is sickness bug free! Its sods law that illness comes at the worst possible time. As for the graduation tickets - Im not sure how I would figure that one out, maybe contact them and explain the situation?!
Caitlyn - Hope your feeling better hun. You have such a beautiful way with words, and I have never thought about it that way before, but I agree, the problem/s don’t always change - we do!
Mrs Hayes - Hope your ds is feeling better, and of course, you too x
Sequeena - Its been said already, but you sound like you are a truly wonderful mother, Thomas is such a lucky little boy to have you (and he is super cute too!). I worked with physically and mentally impaired children for many years before changing career, and I have seen first hand that nothing makes a difference to the children’s life like that of a strong, loving, guiding, and accepting parent! Much love to you both x
Snuggle bunny - your xmas eve hamper plan sounds absolutely wonderful! Can I have one too? All my favourites yum yum
Crowdpleaser - I noticed a couple of subtle price increases when I checked argos website this morning! Crafty devils arent they?!
Mrs money penny - Well done on finding your secret stash! I love it when things like this happen!
Sorry if I have missed anyone, off to do a very very quick run round with the hoover before I start on the boots Christmas shop! Yipee! It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -

I can't post links yet but if you Google 'Tiger stores' it should take you to the right website! Unfortunately they don't sell online and the shops themselves seem to be limited to the South East (and one in Ireland I think!), but the best way I can describe it is like a mini IKEA!
I'm having a nightmare at the moment, my brother's birthday is in November and he's impossible to buy for at the best of times, so coming up with two presents in two months is incredibly tricky. Any suggestions for a soon-to-be 21 year old boy?
What about a engraved tankerd or pint glass for brothers birthday and I'll have a think about Christmas.
Sorry for the dozens of posts I've had porridge and maple syrup for breakfast plus coffee :rotfl:0 -

Sequeena- I hope your feeling better now, your son looks adorable and I'm sure you do your very best for him and are a great mum. I agree with omo's saying from her dad, everything happens for a reason.

kaya, does he drive yet? if so a driving experience if not some lessons. is there a band/group he likes you could get an iou for tickets for?
my DS1 was 18 last december, his sister toyed with getting him some foreign currency, she was trying to find an obscure country she could make him a millionaire in and planned to get the money and frame it with a poster saying he was now a millionaire in where ever it was. i think there was a currency you could do it in for about £90ish. in the end she got him halfways on an electric acoustic guitair he was saving for.SPC~12 ot 124

rose jam sounds nice. I like rose fragrances.
I have noticed those soot balls you have in for Halloween. they remind me of the soot balls from 'spirited away'. my daughter will love them, I will send her a couple at uni.0 -

We have been invited to my son and his wife's for Christmas Day. Their little 5yr old daughter will be there as will his wife's mum and sister. All the food and drink will be in hand and we are looking forward to some lovely dishes. Anyway, I want to put together a hamper to bring along to add something to the day.
I am Scottish and will be going to Glasgow before Christmas so plan to stock up on some Scottish goodies, like tablet, macaroon, shortbread and maybe even some whisky or simlar. Any further ideas would be appreciated, perhaps focussing on the Scottish thing as there is very little they don't already have. My grandaughter will have lots of presents so I will probably put in a game or something for her rather than a toy. We exchange presents a few days later at a big family do at my house when I will also be doing the traditional Christmas food.
For some reason I am quite excited about doing this, might even make a few chocolates myself. I do want it to reflect a typical British Christmas, with the Scottish slant, as they are not originally from Britain, except my son of course who has the best of all worlds, lol.0
