Feisty I do hope you've managed to find some strength from everyone's comments on here. DH and I have been trying for 6 months - which I know is not long at all in baby making terms, but I guess even though we know it will take a while we always secretly thought it will happen straight away. Everyone is different and it happens for people a different times. x0

sending lots of love and hugs to all those who are trying to conceive, and I hope it happens for all of you, you all will be fantastic parents! My neice struggled with IVF and has a little boy now and is undergoing it again currently, so I know how hard it can be and also that it is painful when others seem to get there effortlessly, I have everything crossed for you all xxxx
PrincessKitty I like that quote too!! did you see Mark Webber got a grid penalty for the next race because of him getting a lift back frpm fernando? what a ridiculous decision! although he and fernando seem to be having a giggle about it together on Twitter!0 -
I saw two different types of candy canes in the 99p Shop. Didn't see what flavours they were though.

Feisty i've only just read back.. though having to try to conceive i never experianced i can understand the longing for children (and i know i often moan about my girls but i do love them dearly) my brother and his wife needed a helping hand conceiving. Their first bundle is due in about 7 weeks now. He was told when he was 15 there was a high high chance he'd be infertile due to the operations and medications he was on and still took.. so ivf works its amazing self in this case too. Cross fingers and calls for the green man to wave his branch of fertility your way xxTotally debt free wohooo 2014

Not up to date with reading but thought I'd post anyway.
Got some toblerone, after 8's and peanuts in the £1 shop today. Our local co-op had the Winter Wonderland bars at £1 so I got one of those to go with my cousins Christmas pressie. The lady in the shop was telling me how nice they are and that she'd eaten 4 bars! Think I maybe should have got one for myself now.
Also got a little box of 2 wind-up snails in Wilko's for my Niece and Nephew - just a little thing to go with their main presents but they love bugs and my Niece especially loves snails so I thought for £2 they were quite cute!

Thanks for the tip on the winter wonderland bars being only £1 in coop - they are very very nice! You are so friendly and Christmassy on this thread I keep telling myself to join in a bit more rather than just read.
I went to Sainsbury's yesterday hoping to spot a Furby party rocker for £4.99 but no luck so shall keep looking - my nearly 3 year old DS has asked for a Furby but as he doesn't understand what it does I thought I could fob him off with one of those!
They did however have gorgeous Thornton's chocolate Gruffalo's for £5 .... which has led me to a bit of a dilemma. It would be perfect for Ds stocking as he is Gruffalo mad BUT I always found my oldest DD didn't like the 'posh' choc (lindt etc. - Aldi reindeers a firm favourite though!) so a bit worried he won't eat it. Now I love 'posh' chocolate but I love the Gruffalo and wouldn't want to eat him?!!! Decisions decisions...
Anyway...for some one less awkward I thought they would be a nice change from a selection box for £5.
Off to Asda in a bit to see what Mike the Knight stuff they have for Ds bday so will investigate the Christmas stuff too!

It's very quiet on here today. Normally when I get in from work there are a least 2 pages I need to catch up on.
I have decided to go shopping tomorrow. Dd is out all day so will be none the wiser. If she knew she would want to come, and I would spend all day looking at clothes I can't afford to buy her.
I just want to look in the cheap shops.
Am being very naughty as I am going shopping with my bff next Wednesday, but to a different town. Dd doesn't know about that either. We only made the arrangements just now. ( I was typing the first bit when she texted me) Bff loves cheap shops, so I'll be fine.
I don't need a great deal. But I'm so bored with the shops here, they are just pants. :rotfl:
Hope everyone is well and just too busy to post.0 -

Hello!
I decided to finally come out of the shadows and delurk so I could get involved!
Just thought I'd drop by to mention the fact I went into Tiger today (there appear to be several in the South East) and there are lots of things that would make excellent stocking fillers. I picked up a big tub of ginger biscuits for a couple of pounds, along with some leather mittens for £6! Lots of the little toys and stationery bits are £1 each, so it'd be great if you're buying for children, and last Christmas there were lots of lovely festive bits in the Brighton branch! (there weren't any today but I'll keep you posted if I spot anything in the coming weeks)0
