Not long back from my Sainbury's trip.

Got some Matchmakers, After 8's, Choc Oranges, Malteaser Reindeer and biscuit & raisin Yorkie's. My Mum looked into the trolley and said 'You do like your chocolate don't you'!? She had more in the trolley than me plus some of mine are for presents!!!

Must admit I really hate the supermarket now, there were 8 trolleys of staff picking online orders down just 1 aisle and no-one could get through, how they expect the usual shoppers to see let alone buy anything is beyond me. The Manager said they were stocking the shelves but you don't have all the stuff in supermarket bags and packs of toilet roll in the veg aisle! Grrrrr....

Anyhow, I did enjoy my first Christmassy kinda shop - yay!

mandco - I know what you mean about the coats & its driving me mad! Though it was torrential on the school run yesterday so I wore my biggest coat! The soaps are gorgeous but a bit too much for me! Could always get an empty plain handwash bottle & stickers!

Snugglebunny - I still havn't seen these winter wonderland bars, must be going round with my eyes shut! I did get some mint matchmakers for £1 in Asda though with bb date 05/2014, apparently its not xmas without them according to my dh!

Sevenswans - Hello!! How do you make your peppermint chocolate bark?

Poppygirl - Have you been before? We missed last year as Mali was only a few weeks old and I couldn't bear to leave her! We don't live to far from Birmingham, just past Coventry so not far for us to go. Ooh cant wait for the foot-long sausages!

ellie - That sounds so exciting but the thought of the train & tube around London before xmas would fill me with dread and then the fact that dd1 has never spoken to Santa as she's too scared! But she begs to go and visit him every year with the promise she will talk!

Has anyone seen the new costa coffee autumn menu? Chocolate & orange mocha latte & toffee nut caffe caramella - they sound lush!

DD has finally given some clue to what she would like - more Lego! She has taken a fancy to the girly lego friends stuff so will have to keep a look out in the run up to xmas. She has also said she wants some robo fish. Having read the reviews, I cant help but think they're a stupid gimmick! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Robo-Fish-Play-Set-activated/dp/B00BSQE6SM/ref=pd_bxgy_k_h_b_cs_img_y £20 for a bowl & 1 fish where apparently the batteries run out quickly and she would want more than 1 fish, which are from £8!! Now its dividing me and dh as he believes that if thats what she really wants we should consider it whilst I think its expensive plastic rubbish and we should find her something else!

Keep your eye on amaz@n, they often have some great deals on lego friends sets. We got the olivias house last year for just £40, it still gets played with on an almost daily basis and is fairly sturdy, very small though. I have picked up the horsebox, and treehouse each just £12 from amaz@n in the last couple of months.

I keep telling myself to do my grocery shopping online because of the states of supermarkets, but Im worried by cutting out my weekly supermarket battle I would become a complete recluse!
You should have seen me on Monday when I helped unpack the shopping for my parents. I was singing everything out of the bag and into the kitchen to the tune of "hosanna in excelsis" ..don't ask! But it sure helped me wind down from work and feel more Christmassy too! Haha! :D
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My michael buble xmas album is still in my car from last xmas and yesterday I put it on to make dd's giggle on the way home from school, and this morning youngest dd asked "can we listen to mr bubble again tonight?" I think he may be here to stay now until the new year!
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.

    Xmas Saver!
    Just got in from work.
Ds wants a bivvy ( fishing tent). Told my Dad, who said he would see about getting him one for Christmas. He phoned his friend who does a lot if fishing to ask if he knew of any secondhand ones going, as they can cost hundreds new. His friend told that they don't use bivvies anymore because of the stupid prices. They just use small green tents.
So on EBay we go, and we found this tent for £12.99

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130940922947?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D130940922947%26_rdc%3D1

While my Dad was looking at it, the bottom of his screen showed him similar items, and this was one of them-

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181197681706?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D181197681706%26_rdc%3D1

Now can you see any difference except one is called a dome tent and one is called a bivvy tent. I can't.
    What a complete con.

Meant to say yesterday that Tesco have little bags of orange chocolate satsumas and little bags of black honeycomb coal. Both £2. Could be good as gifts for older people who always go on about only getting that in their stocking when they were kids. :D

Oooh the 'coal' sounds good for my mum's stocking, I didn't see that in my excitement last week. I'll just tell her she's been naughty this year lol. Cheers OMO.

That's okay! As long as we're all happy any laughing it's all good :)

The Birmingham Christmas market sounds good, think I'll look that up :)

I'm hoping to possibly get the bus to the shops on Saturday afternoon (would drive but the parking is a nightmare in the afternoon up there!). I'm helping out at a charity shop for the moment so I can't go in the morning time like I usually do on Saturdays. Shall have to make a list and make sure I come home with lots of goodies!
