  • I came on here to tell you all something and now i've forgot!

Mrs Cullen - I'm in Nuneaton currently

mandco - I bought some coal today, its very cute, I have a little hessian bag fr a burts bees gift im going to put it in.

Oh I've remembered!! In home bargains there were record sleeve frames. Similar to this but a bit more of a box frame http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/80177066/ they were £1.99 each and I think would make a great gift if someone had a treasured LP?

I have 9 of those frames on my stairs. I put some of my old LPs and 12inches in them. They are a great talking point.
I got them when I was decluttering. Best of both worlds. Nice art work on the walls and an empty cupboard. :D
  • I popped into tescos yesterday morning before work and was rather disappointed in the chocolate prices :( I'm not sure if it was because I went to a medium sized one, or maybe I'm just cheap ;)

The roses etc 'tins' seem a lot smaller than usual and I'm pretty sure they are usually £5 but apparently it's a special offer?

  • Dad just phoned. The tent is here. We only ordered it yesterday. Will let you know what ds thinks about when I get home from work . :D
  • hi all!! I LOVE the idea of the coal! I may also get it for my mum as well! shes always going on about them having too much etc etc ... looks like Tesco are on to something!

MandCo - the advent boxes? was in the Disney Christmas store preview online, wonder if they are changing the picture or something then? I also noticed it was £12 and its usually £15, perhaps that was incorrect so they are correcting it? I will keep an eye out and let you know when they come back in, theyve had them for the last 3 years and I know they fly off the shelves in store so am sure they will have them, love ours! x

Picked up another bag of the Terry's Choc Orange Minis while they are £1 and also two more of the Cadbury Mousses, had had a delivery of the Cadbury Winter Wonderland bars so was a whole big box on the shelf in Sainsbugs, not sure if it is just them stocking it at the moment but am sure others will, will let you know if I see them elsewhere.

*Excited* Just spotted the Christmas Eve thread *runs*
  • Hope you are better soon Junior J. My word you are all getting loads of Christmas chocolate goodies, I see a trip to the supermarkets coming on. Chocolate coal.......I have just the person in mind for that one. Yes, the plastic tubs of sweeties seem smaller than last year. I still have an empty one will check the net weights.
Went to a senior school open night last night, as DGS changes school next year, it was my old school, but what a difference, apart from the building everything was unrecognisable, and the relaxed attitude between teachers and students was amazing.
When I sat down to read this thread I wasn't hungry, but now I've got the chocolate munchies, so I'm off on a hunt xx

Found a bag in our play room that must have come home from school with my son a christmas last year. 10 christmas & winter themed usbourne books all in a lovely canvas bag.

My hubby must have brought it home at the time & stuck it in the cupboard & never told me about it !! (he does all the school run) but what a great find. I plan on doing a reading schedule for my son though December to really get us in the festive mood.

Not sure why its touted as special offer as they're always a fiver but last year they went down to £3
