My local tesco had a smallish selection of Christmas confection out yesterday, picked up a bag of festive mashmallows (68p) for the boys Christmas eve hamper to have on his hot choc & also 2 candy cane lollipops (£1 for 2) to go in stockings too.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

I am totally making the presents that leave the house this year, I watched the chocolate man on food network last night and some of the things he did was amazing and looked easy, so I'm going to give it a go and I'm also in the next few weeks give making a yule log ago we watched christmas at disney and they made a super flat sponge that didn't crack or split so I'm going to try something they said :T
I got stung by a wasp for the first time on friday.
And am popping out for coffee with a friend this afternoon which will be lovely.0 -
That 'wooden' sleigh he made was amazing!:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0

that was nice of your dd and also your DH.
when I pick my to boys up from school it is the only time I get any conversation from ds1. Once we get home that;s it conversation over!
:rotfl:oh I know! DD is the same, straight up to her room, on the ipad to her mates! but I do get a chat in the car on pick up tooDS gives minimal details unless there is something of interest or something funny one of his friends did etc, then its homewark and PS3!, though he does watch tv with us in the evening and will have a chat - we do all sit together and chat at dinner but thats becoming more the 3 of them now as I work several evenings
morning all! our local Sainsbugs put out their Christmas choccies over night!!!!! here is what I bought - quite a lot of offer at teh mo
Terrys Chocolate Orange Festive bag - reduced to £1 fm £2
After Eights 3.50 down to 1.75
Matchmakers £1 from £2
New this year by the looks of it is Cadburys Winter Wonderland bar, which is milk and white chocolate large bar shaped like Christmas Tree in segments according to wrapper, would be lovely to wrap a bar along with a Yankee Winter Wonderland candle or tea lights, tarts etc wouldnt it?
ALso new is Cadburys Dairy Milk Mousse Snowman in the range of small wrapped chocolate shapes, you know those which are 65p and 2 for £1? (that offer is on again) they have Cadbury Snowman, Merrytease (Malteser Reindeer) the Smarties Penguin and MIlky Bar Polar bear mini, mini Lindt Bears, and another new thing is Freddo with a Santa hat on, 5 for £1
am so excited Ive started with the choccy cupboard! Those little Christmas choccy things are great for the Disney Advent boxes, for anyone looking at it on the Disney Store Christmas shop its well worth getting, teh boxes are a good size, enough for 2 Lindt mini bears etc0 -
Peppapig - your boot sale finds sound like such bargains! I havent been to one in years, but might venture out to our local one this Sunday just for a potter round!
Snuggle bunny - the only thing better than chocolate is FREE chocolate!
Bun bun2 - so pleased your feeling better, and my fingers are crossed for your dh
Free spirit - I have taken great pleasure in snuggling up with my xmassy throw and a hot chocolate for past two nights, but I agree, it does seem to have got very cold very quickly of an evening!
Nana - aw what a sweet, thoughtful gift! I am sure your friend was delighted, I would love to receive such a personal gift, but sadly I am the only "crafty" one amongst my friends and family so unless I make it myself ...
Right, off to sainsbugs now to see if ours have the xmassy chocolates - thanks snuggle bunny! It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -
Oh I couldn't buy chocolate this early!!!! It wouldn't even make it home from the shops!
I've not managed to get to our new Range yet, I'll hold off for a few weeks then if they don't seem to have Christmas stuff yet!
I'm checking B&M every week though, they've got gift sets trickling in, so I'll be on it asap when they get their candy canes in, as these are the best price/quality I've found. Could someone tell me what price The Range ones are please if they've seen them?
I watched the Food Network chocoate man too last night, some fab stuff but it left me thinking 'life's too short' for some of the things he made! I loved the old Nigella things though, some of her recipies are so simple, so I've made a list of things I'm going to make to put in my hampers and gift bags of goodies!0 -

The Nigella and Delia ones were the most Christmassy. I love that gingerbread Nigella makes, with the little forest and reindeer on it. Always makes me want to look for some little plastic cake trees myself.:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0
